Damn what happen to Ashley style. I remember when she had a cool young corky Style. What happened to her easy, breezy Style. What happened to the red glasses and funny logo shirts etc. Girl do we need to go back too TechnoBuffalo to find you’re style, maybe Jon Rettinger left it when he sold the company.
That pain on her face make her look very older than she is. Should could of used a red lip or a pink stain on her lip. That blush on her face is to dark for her skin tone.
Hyundai? Lol. Would you fly in a Korean made plane?
With flying cars there will be more air traffic then I am happy to travel freely on the road 😁😁😁😁😁😁
Academy city anyone
Its probably a battery swap not a recharging in 5min
This won’t be around until 2050–2060
Late adopter hosting WTFuture isn’t wth at all 😉
I think wrong information was sent to cnet by some promotors not by engineers. I’m pretty sure you didn’t interview the real hyundai engineers standing there, but I understand. Anyway, it should be corrected as that the vehicle will be rapidly recharged for 5–7 minutes after every 20–25 miles of single trip. The required time for full-charging was not revealed yet. I just want to make sure that we never expect that the full-charging can be done in 5 minutes. Also 62 miles which you might have read in the specification is the maximum range of the aircraft with fully charged battery. But nominal range of each trip (distance between skyports) is assumed as approx 25 miles. You might get what I would like to explain if you read uber’s white paper or vehicle requirement.
It’s not like they are going to fall out of the sky or anything…
Love how she asks questions and then helps him finish the answers. She basically rolls over him, usually with better responses.
Hummm
7mn recharge … i think about removable battery.
The Hyundai is sooo cool!
This lady is DUUUUUMB. The questions she asks warrant her getting fired. Come on. So annoying.
And she says that Drones are “loud”… kettle is calling the pot black… must be a result of smoking pot.
VEELA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Muon Gold!!!!!!!!!!!! 😉
I don’t need to watch it but just wanna let you know some facts. I like the concept of Uber. But Hyundai? Good luck. Just some years ago, couple of my friends got their Hyundai car engine stopped without any symptoms, and even the master engineer didn’t know the reasons. Eventually my friends paid penalty for finishing off the lease early and went for another car. They never got another Hyundai. I have never used Hyundai nor I am affiliated with any car makers or associates. However, imagine when engine failure like that happens on air taxi? What’s gonna happen?
Yet another awful idea that ultimately serves no purpose other than to eliminate pilot jobs once they become autonomous. We definitely do not need low flying high speed autonomous vehicles above our heads. Even delivery drones are a very bad idea. I know ppl think this is cool. But some progress is just horrible.
So it’s basically a fancy V‑22 Osprey?
Graphene is the superpower
Drones aren’t loud! Helicopter, jets & planes are loud. Smh.
she sounds so annoying…
Needed a lot less talk about legal issues IMO. Just show and discuss the item we can figure the rest out ourselves, I think I have as much knowledge as a paid announcer.
Her voice is cringy.
1:29
Drunk or Not Drunk.
I say Drunk.
5:03
Actually, NO it’s nothing like the circle camera technology from The Matrix. Somebody get her off mic ASAP. OMG this is a train wreck.
6:40
This is what a producer yelling into her earpiece sounds like as she deconstructs something she doesn’t understand line by line to make up for that Matrix comment.
Props to the co-host on the right for keeping it together for 12:29.
Hyundai: How many rotors do you want?
Uber: Yes
Also, why would you go from Union Station to LAX???
Show more pictures and videos instead of talking
Im thinking this was recorded at CES so its actually a very noisy environment with lots of commotion. But it could be that cnet have crazy good audio equipment with very good noise canceling mics that dont pick up the environment noise. So the presenters hear this and
naturally raises their voices . Or they really are sittning a quiet studio and talking this loud which would be very strange.
To address some concerns about the Hyundai SA‑1 from the “journalists”:
1) The concern with noise: Unlike a single rotor helicopter (which has to do most of the work to generate lift, thus having a fast blade tip speed), due to the 8 propellers, the rotors on the SA‑1 can be slower while still generating the same and/or greater lift. This ultimately gives us reduced noise compared to a regular helicopter. The interior has great active noise cancellation technology which is also incorporated into the system for the interiors.
2) Safety: It has redundancies built-in (8 propellers) which would help distribute power distribution if one of the rotors were to malfunction. In addition, as was mentioned in the video, it has an automatic parachute system.
Aerial taxis are the future.
Making autonomous aerial taxis will be easier than autonomous land vehicles.
