Having used Apple’s AirPods Pro for a while now, here’s what I think about the sound quality, active noise cancellation and performance of the $249 wireless earbuds.

🚨 UPDATE! 🚨 Hey everyone, I’ve totally done a 180 on transparency mode from what I said in this video. Being at home during this whole lockdown, transparency mode is so useful for hearing the doorbell, surrounds and so on while working. Just wanted to update everyone as I finally found the way transparency mode works best for me. Stay safe!
how well do they work for zoom meetings-do people hear you fine? The ability to walk around during meetings is very desirable.
I bought the Pros (my 1st pair of AirPods) and like them but I got some free AirPods 2 with purchase of a Mac and I find myself using the AirPods 2 a lot more — not crazy about the “plugged in” feel on the Pros and I also notice they can spontaneously (and rather suddenly at times) work themselves loose. Features-wise the Pros are superior — the Noise Canceling and Transparency work really well — I also prefer the controls and the sound quality on the Pros. So far I’ve used both the Medium and Small tips — I may try the mediums again to see if they “behave” better. Ultimately, I just find the 2’s more convenient and comfortable.
Do those Sony’s really have the dumb flashing bluetooth light? You can’t have that these days. Blacks still dig it but it’s so dated lol
1 year warranty no thanks.
You can’t adjust the volume from the Air Pod Pro stem. You have to use your phone. Seriously? Also, there is too much time lag between the time you speak a word and the time the receiving persons on a phone call can hear it. This results in “stepping” on each other a lot in phone conversations. Not worth the money in my opinion.
Wait she just said she wishes they came with usb c cable? We’re they giving normal cables before because I got a usb c one with mine in the box but sadly I have nothing to use the cord for
They constantly fall out of my ears whereas the originals were snug. Its a constant distraction which has forced me to grown to hate them. I’m actually surprised that they got such good reviews. Do they just happen to fit well for some others? I cant go eating, smiling, talking, or even walking without them loosening up and inevitably falling out.
The silence mode on these are crazy
I so agree with you that they feel kind of uncomfortable after long use. The older earpods felt more comfortable in my ears. And I love the transparency mode! It’s safer when running or driving or cycling.
I’ve bought them and they’re arriving today. I will pair them with my 11 pro max. Just to let you know that I’m swapping out standard wired apple headphones for the AirPod pros. 😂😂 I may notice a difference. What do you think?
Transperancy mode is wonderful if you are commuting by bike! You can listen to music and still be aware of traffic and pedestrians!
you’re so pretty!!!
My Bose are amazing — bass and mids are awesome. It doesn’t feel like great sound in your ears, feels like great sound in the whole room. They are bigger and a little more clunky.
Thanks for the detailed review. I bought a pair of these and loving them. Because I commute by motorcycle, the noise canceling helps to block out the noise when I ride and it could potentially protect my hearing. When I stopped or had to have a quick conversation with someone, I can switch to transparent mode and can hear clearly without getting the helmet off. Both are very useful feature for motorcycle riders. Before this pair, I had used a few pairs of earbuds from other brands, none of them solved the problem described in above, though some have better sound quality than the AirPods Pro.
I’d like to Knear (know) I love your accent. 🙂 Thanks for the review.
The AirPods Pro give me a pain in the year, my ears inside become red and I think it’s a bit big and the plastic inside the year is quite bad.
Kind of disappointed that I can’t use it more than 30 mins.
Her reviews seem so genuine!!
down under?
Very helpful! Just what I was thinking — Thank you!
Bruh, you’re supposed to have you’re Bluetooth off when you’re on a plane. This is why flying gives me so much anxiety, cause people don’t listen 😓😓
Is it me or did I think she said in video title Airpods Pro 3?
It seems like everybody love their aipod pros, let me tell my experience then:
I bought this earphones a month ago. I walk a lot, and I like to listen to podcasts or music while I am walking. I also sometimes call people when walking. This is where the problem actually starts. I received multiple complaints from people I was talking to on the phone. For example, when a car or a bus passes by me, people on the other side of the phone receive a lot of noise which affects the call quality. The sound is delivered as it is to the other side as it is. There should be at least a little bit of a sound blocking feature. I will return mine. If you experience such a think with your earphones too, let me know!
Bought mine for $149.99 plus tax during BF!!
Working perfectly in the Apple environment plus noice cancellation (and transparency mode) is actually more than people realise. The AirPods Pro are also doing an adaptive EQ that sounds like boosted bass, softening the mid range and possibly boosting the high frequencies.
AirPods Pro noise cancellation doesn’t partially cancel my voice in noisy environments as the Sony does which some say has better noise cancellation, I don’t who have heard the results of both.
Good seal is required for good bass.
Transparency mode makes me feel like I just have the exchangeable plug portion of the headphones in my ears and that’s it. I can hear everything clearly and it’s nice because you can talk to people if you need, order the drive thru or listen when driving or you can just press and hold and cancel everything out. Love these headphones more than any other ones right now, even the Sonys or my Bose over ear headphones.
This was a great review, I have enjoyed my Airpod pro, the headphone work really well with the type of music I listen to, The noise cancellation and the transparency mode have a good features as well.
Totally agree
The noise cancellation on these things is unbelievable. I work as a transcriptionist and have paid I don’t know how much over the years for a noise-cancelling headset to eventually decide that such a thing doesn’t exist. I just wish I could get this feature in a headset instead of earbuds because I can’t wear these all day. But when the neighbour is backfiring cars, the brass band is marching down the street, the dogs start barking, and the garbage truck is idling by my house, I can keep working! And it even pairs with my Apple TV such that if neighbours are having loud parties behind and in front of my house, I can still watch a movie. I’m at four days with these things and still amazed.
Do you have any ANC problem or rattling sound problem?
$250 cheap , Here in Australia $399 unlucky us 👍🏿
No one:
Video editor: Let’s put the clip of Lexy getting drenched in water 10 times in the video
I think AirPods Pro sound better than Everything else
Transparency mode’s best benefit is, if you’re a runner or a cyclist and are out in traffic, it allows you to remain aware of your surroundings.
I’d like to be a window washer on the 34th floor watching you dance without care with your funky earphones inserted. I’d wipe with love on that window. Ha!
Getting some soon for my birthday wasn’t sure if they will fit as I have daith piercings? But a very informative video thanks x
There is a setting in accessibility that improves the sound. It’s the headphone accommodation setting.
Transparency mode works really well in my opinion, it can be a little misleading from where the sound actually comes from but you cant expect 2 mics on the outside to cover 360 sound, as long as you hear stereo you should be good to go even for a run near a road, I like it myself, the ANC works really well for earbuds, owned Jabra 85T’s and they don’t do as well even though their the same price
trim?
They don’t stay in my damn ear
I have got to say, I have them, they sound amazing to me, at night I plop them in and listen to the Minecraft music soundtrack, I personally think they are the one to get, and they are super comfortable 🙂
i am using airpod pro from yesterday , 2 times it fall from my ear. and i feel uncomfortable using it, though it has more features but i miss airpod 2
i love you
I had mine for like 2–3 weeks and it’s pretty good so far
Just bought mine after thorough research. Just waiting for it to be delivered. I’m excited and nervous, I’ve been perusing the idea of having these for so long. I don’t like the idea of silicon tips but the difference in price between 3rd gen and pro were 20usd and they were a flash sale so I gave it a try. I hope I don’t regret because I have a tendency to bad decisions lol I love to work out and seeing that many people have the same experience with them falling out.. I just pray it won’t happen because I’ll get pissed lol
when i go for a walk. mine slowly begin to loose and im pretty sure they are going to fall out of my ear how do i fix this? i have already changed the tips to the ones that fit me the most it helped a bit but they still feel like they are falling out.
I just leave it on transparency mode. Dont really use noice cancellation mode, only unless the wife is yelling at me or if the baby’s crying.
My only downside is that they are very uncomfortable and do not fit snuggly unlike the Samsung bean type which didn’t fall out of your ears
