Great news! Let’s make it happen for everyone ASAP! 😁👍
Will I be able to pick up stations from St Louis with this new ATS 3.0 I Live 2 hours from St Lewis
(ATSC 3.0 + 4K Streaming+ (Starlink OR Amazon Sat internet)) means Endgame for traditional cable companies with their crappy 720p and 1080i
What’s the catch? One thing I have learned is nothing is ever free.
Not watched TV years :p
Which smart watch are you wearing?
This is amazing, this is how all the digital signals should be including electricity. If corporate america wasn’t so greedy we would of had with Tesla.
Nothing is free anymore. What is the catch? I live in the boonies. Ill never see this in my lifetime.
Truth and Quality.
Practical and Useful Information.
Reliable transmission and reception is more important then all the bells and whistles.
Many Humans get a wild look in the eye and babble on and on about the bells and whistles.
UK has had their own version of this known as HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma)
Wait one minute.…..did he just say city’s have to opt in so it’s voluntary but at the end he said the current standard will be shut off in 5 years.….. >:(
Make a video contrasting MicroLED vs MiniLED because I feel that many people feel that they are the same emerging tech.
This wont start until the Fall and the start of NFL. They already tested 4K streaming on the Fox App for the Super Bowl.
U.S. T.V. stations (and cable too) are still broadcasting in 720p or 1080i. How is this tolerated in 2020 is beyond my comprehension.
I’m thinking about shoving broadcast TV where the sun don’t shine when this happens. Getting tired of buying new equipment all the time. Besides, we are streaming more TV from the internet anyway. Using our antenna less all the time.
Having this on mobiles would be so cool!
Garbage
Let me guess, stations are going to play 480p on ATSC 3.0
When can hospitality customers get standard cable/Satellite content through the internet? Right now you still need a provider.
Question
my LG 65 NU7300PUF is a 2020 model
will LG allow the software for ATSC 3.0 next gen to be downloaded through there server ??
As a Gen Z, this sounds like a great idea in theory.. A lot of us like personalized and interactive content
I noticed SF and Sacramento were separated. LA means that the signal will only be in the city of LA or County of LA????
4k tv is so slow to come out we have had 4k tv’s for years now and apart from some content on Netflix and a few sports games by now most of our cable and satellite channels should be 4k
Love your work, Iyaz. You’ve been very helpful to me on Twitter quite a few times. Keep destroying, bro.
Everyone don’t get too excited because we are talking a few more years before broadcaster need to upgrade equipment. Plus no RF bandwidth with ATCS 1.0 being around for another 5 years.
