The Motorola Razr is finally here and Dieter Bohn has a full review. The big question is how much is the foldable worth? Is it worth $1500 as a Verizon exclusive? Not for what you get: mediocre cameras, sub-par battery, and a weird-feeling screen. Better luck next time, goodbye Moto.

Is it worth $1500 as a Verizon exclusive?
I think moto needs to hire software developers for making the UI experience awesome.
harsh but true
It has alot more merit than what The Verge is making it out to be. Obviously next year’s model will have smoothed out all the rough edges🙏🔥🤘
This phone seems so cool, and I don’t care about the camera because I don’t take photos from my phone anyway. I do like the way it folds, but the specs just kill it for me. They could have put in better specs and made the phone a bit thicker and we would all be much happier.
Damn 😂 😂 😂 you’ve gone extra hard on moto & it’s 1500$ thing.….. I love it 😂 great review
The hate the RAZR’s been getting recently is unprecedented when compared to January or december. I think it’s something to do with the galaxy Z flip coming out. I know the z flip is better in almost every way but the RAZR wasn’t made to compete with it. It’s a commercial prototype and something to bring out the early 2000s nostalgia. It’s targeting a niche. Treat it from that point of view
Motorola should drop the price ASAP
So we’ll just wait for good flip phones
I always wanted a V3 Razr as a kid. I still want to fulfill that dream, but with that price…
If they could have revived the original Moto RAZR, even without Android, that would be a steal deal for <$300
Two things:
- You can’t say its a flop for sure. It’s surely the first flip phone with that design.
- For price you can say it’s a lot pricier but wouldn’t expect less for a new design. Now question is it worth it :Sure it will improve as they design new variants
I agree. It’s bad. As is the Samsung Z Flip, although the Flip is less bad.
Phones are not made to keep it in your pocket, it was meant for use!
Glad to know Galaxy z released. Just can’t wait Razr price drop to 150 and buy it
I like the honest review here; “phone looks cool, but wouldnt be a good phone if it didnt flip”. I had big expectations (and some nostalgia, of course) about this flip phone, but Motorola simply couldn’t pull it off this time. The ridiculously high price also didn’t help.I just hope they don’t abandon the design, and come up with some other versions of it. Flip, again, is the future it seems 😀 Cellphone designs have come full-circle I guess
This looks much better than the samsung, there is no competition there. What I don’t believe is the poor performance for battery life, let’s face it, new processors are usually much more power efficient, this was a budget constraint, cuz they could put in something more recent and with a bit of underclock double the battery life. Still, if I were to choose between the samsung and this one, there is no way in hell I would even look at the samsung. Nevertheless, they still need to improve, and mostly it seems that being such a tall phone when open, they need to let you do most things on the bottom of the screen, so a UX redesign is something that should be mandatory for these phones
The phone needs like a year of more development
I have heard so many varying comments about this new Razr phone, and just compared to what Samsung produced with the Z flip (with a somewhat lower price-tag at that) this phone has been a disappointment for most people at best. However, considering it was the first vertical folding phone to hit the market, it is a step in the right direction I feel. The only way to learn, is through mistakes. I look forward to the future.
Wtf would I want to unfold a phone just to use the screen everytime…who’s the genius that thought it’s a good idea to bring that idea back
The wallpaper on main screen you use please where I can download from. Please
Just another phone works great for me… don’t really care about your comments.
Hater
This guy so lame look like you got paid to do a bad review I have the phone and works very good all this bad reviews about the new razr are negligence if you can’t afford it just say it don’t be a heater 🤮
It’s already depreciated to $1k. In another 6 months it’ll be a great buy.
great video thank u
Hopefully this ushers in a new era of of actually good touchscreen flip phones, dont know why im so excited.
Yeah, nope 👎🏻
so nce phone it is
Damn compared to my old iphone se this thing looks awesome
if it sold for 300 dollars i might have thought about it
I’m literally watching this review on my brand new razr lol IDC I’m happy with mine I lasted 4 years with my Galaxy note 8 and had to buy a new phone, I’m a simple man life is better that way
Bad bad bad The worst phone ever launched. Bought it and within few days the half screen went off while lying in the pocket now company charging 75% of the total cost of new phone just yo repair it.
I’d love too trade a moto moto e4 for that instead I guess.
XTRA SALTY!!!! I LOVE IT.…
Just got this phone today (albeit for a much cheaper price). Came directly from an Iphone 4 to this. Man, I’m out of touch with standards.
i;ve owned this phone for a year now and i’ve never had any issues . i do treat my phone very well though. great phone would recommend
you missed the point. you’re paying to look cool. because guarantee you flip/close that people gonna be staring and asking what it is. but not for a few years will high end tech be able to fit. the part where the camera is is too thin for a high end camera, the part for the battery again thin. so thats why the tech is the way it is, not because they dumbed it down on purpose. youre really paying for a fashion accessory. like any niche kind of product that doesn’t do anything better and is much worse but looks awesome. so knocking it for the specs…you missed the point. things will have to get more nano to be able to fit the capabilities of other phones into that slim thing.
Let’s not forget the first iPhone. Didn’t have really anything to justify the enormous price. But, it was so cool. That’s the only reason for this phone. You’re not buying it for the camera. A million other phones have stellar cameras. Who cares it’s not running the latest software. It’s about the gimmick.
È molto bello e delicato. Telefono per pochi
