It has glass however it has a plastic film above the glass. Why does price matter you either buy it if you can or don’t stop wasting time about cost to repair. A car cost a lot to repair should I not buy it then.

Since the flip is not as easy to flip with one hand as the old traditional flip phone, it’s almost guaranteed that anyone that uses one hand to open this phone will drop it at least once of its lifetime. Yeah, it’s a cool phone but other than that it’s more compact, the foldable technology is not there yet and not many apps support it and if I have that kind of money to spend, I’d rather spend it on the new S20

Plastics are made from fossil fuels. Petrol.
Glass is made from silicates. Sand. With different additives to give it different properties.
Not Samsung’s fault people erroneously presume glass is defined by being “not scratchable/bendable.” It is a different type of glass.
By that logic, ”bulletproof glass is not glass” just because it has different properties than regular window glass.
Even if they give a free protective plastic film on the on top of ultrathin glass, How is that a bad thing? I don’t want dish out more to buy peripherals.
Z flip doesn’t have “plastic with embedded glass particles,” like some idiots assume, (what would that even do? Embedding glass particles into plastic serves no purpose) it’s the other way around.
If any randumb youtuber could sue Samsung for fraudulent “fake plastic glass” I don’t think Samsung would have become a multinational megacorporation by now.

Hey numb nuts, stop calling it glass. It’s a plastic screen. It folds like plastic, it has a crease in the middle like plastic and finger nails leave deep indentations on the screen like plastic!
The screen surface can be scratched by anything which is a downside to a such a fragile device. You can hack any mobile device of your choice and I am sure this samsung device would not be different. I was able to hack the mobile device of my kids so i could monitor their movement because i noticed they were acting off and my friend introduced me to Rosa and amazing Hacker who helped me gain access to their contact info, their calls, text messages and social media chats, which put me in better position to advice them and make decisions. if they make any material thin enough, it is always possible to make any thing fold. However, it strength is not the same of a thicker material. so, samsung can claim that the screen is glass. However, the strength is not the same as regular gorilla glass on a chocolate bar phone.
My just wallet just flipped itself shut.. I’ll wait for new Fold 2 coming later.
