Quick question, can I stream in 4K? I don’t record that much
From what I saw on youtube this product has many problems:
— it can’t capture your microphone when you record on memory card, only the sound of the game.
— it doesn’t work with all monitors and more recently there are problems with oled TVs.
— if you want to stream 4k you have problems with tone mapping (what does that mean?).
My questions are how many of these problems have been solved because 360 pounds is a lot of money, and can this product records on the LG OLED C8?
If you please, can I broadcast through it while I am playing from the playstion because my device is a pc. The games have no normal specifications. Does this piece carry this streaming by itself?
This video was really helpful! Thanks!
This might be a stupid question. Do you NEED to have a monitor plugged in to record to the SD card? I ask because I’m thinking of using this to record the clean hdmi 4k output from my camera — which has a record limit of 30 minutes. I wouldn’t want to have to hook up a monitor every time I record…
To confirm: I can’t stream 4k reliably with this if I have a low spec/outdated PC but I can record 4k using the standalone/sd card feature I just won’t have live view. Is that correct?
you just saved me $200… thanks!
How do you stream with this and obs
Dp you connect the mic into the box?
so in order to stream with the ps4 and this device i need a sd card i cant just do live streams!
Hey man .. great review, thanks. I’m trying to use mine with my Xbox but can’t get any kind of chat audio working. It says I don’t need a chat link with the Xbox like you do the PS4 … any ideas? Thanks ✌🏼
Any idea how to get it or the software working in windows 10
I’m trying to capture 4k 60fps in standalone mode but I can’t get live commentary to work, I am currently using a gaming headset, with a splitter going to both my Xbox controller and to the Elgato 4k60 S+ line in. I get game audio without issue but my commentary is not recording. Anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks Oliver for this video! It’s very useful and informative. Just curious, have you tried this tool to capture PS3 games using splitter to bypass hdcp stuff? Thanks a lot!
