I went with the iPad Pro 2020. Magic Keyboards are still out of stock 😎
Also this video is nearly worthless. I’m pretty sure anyone who isn’t serious about computers but is buying a Mac will go with the cheapest option.
Awesome!!
I bought the new macbook air (2018) when it came out. I’m a student but after awhile it has started to slow down and become sluggish at times even when browsing the web. I have to close most of my tabs sometimes to fix the problem. I have the 1100 dollar one and it tends to heat up pretty quick. I wish i had bought the macbook pro 13 inch but this is a great laptop alltogether.
air does not have good cooling. it will throttle when heats up to limit. It has poor thermal dissipation stay with the i3 for the 2020 no need for i5. if you need to do more intensive work stick to the pro.
i can only recommend the base model air, if you are thinking of getting the i5 upgrade, it means that you care enoough about performance to want that quad core. If so, then id recommend the base model pro easily. The 2020 air i5 model that I had heats up so quickly at the most menial tasks. Its loud and hot with just 5 — 7 tabs safari, mac photos app, discord, mail and itunes open. The killer is video conferencing and screensharing. The macbook air is abysmal at those tasks. Thats unacceptable to me. The laptop was easily at 80 — 100 degrees with the fans blaring (also i live in 33 degree ambient temperatures that would contribute to the temperatures). Ive since returend it for a 4tb port macbook pro. The i3 version runs alot cooler and if you can find the base model air for $900 or $950. that is a very good deal. If you were considering the i5 macbook air, you would be much better off with the base model pro. I promise you that.
I want the brighter screen and better speakers, even though I don’t need more power, so I’m leaning towards the pro 13″
Apple gets heat just cause they make a lot of money. Here are two unpopular opinions
a) Butterfly keyboards rock for touch typing and have been amazing in my personal experience. I have had very few issues with using them on 2 different MacBooks. Unless you have poor personal hygiene and constantly eat biscuits, french fries and pour cereal bits over your keyboard — you are not gonna face any issue.
b) The Touchbar is good looking, useful and intuitive. It is not obstructive at all and not imposing — it remains in the backdrop and works efficiently. I would never have a laptop without it. So I hate it when people complain about it. Look — its not trying to change the world.
Hey,
Where did you buy this shield for usb c ports?
does this new macbook pro already fix those flexgate and screen issue? my macbook pro 2017 already replace screen twice (for $600 each) and now it still happen again…
Haha I gave in and paid the premium just for the bigger screen. I waited for the Memorial Day Weekend sales and saved $300 so it saved a little bit of hurt.
15 inch screen is the minimum screen size for me, so I’ll take the MacBook pro 16 anyday.
What about the. Poundkey?
Hi! I’ve got a basic version of MacBook Pro 13 early 2015 (Intel Core i5, 2,7 GHz, 8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3) and now thinking about change my Mac to Air 2020 with core i7, 16 gb version. Is it good upgrade? I do lots of writing work, photo and a little bit video editing. Thanks for the answer)
One of apple’s main target audiences with the pros, the devs, are never mentioned in reviews ;-; lol

Good reviews. Just wanted to point out that he said the touchbar wasn’t as useless as a lot of people say because he uses it a lot for adjusting things like volume and screen brightness. Sooooo, things that used to be dedicated buttons right there in the same place as the touch bar? Doesn’t sell it’s usefulness. Neither does the calculator functions lol
¿Can you help me? Macbook Pro 13 Base 16 Ram OR Surface Book 3 for Photoshop, Illustrator and Basic Productivity (Word, Pages, Power Point) … maybe a occasional 1080p video editing. Thanks, Greetings from Mexico — P.D. Is macbook pro 16
an exaggerated option?
If you are a college student, you can use apple education pricing and get the MacBook Air for $899 and then upgrade to the i5 for $100. In the end you can still get the MacBook Air with the i5 for $999.
Why would I get the quad core macbook air when it’s just for notes the i3 would be just fine.
l’d rather have a Chromebook
I bought the 2020 13″ MacBook Pro. 4 Thunderbolt 3 ports on the thing. It does everything I want it to do and its light. Expensive indeed, but its worth it. A lot of things I can do with the MacBook Pro. My Asus gaming laptop will still be there. As a backup.
Wish Apple would have a basic MBP without the touch bar and drop the price by another $100 or $150. I could use those saving on expanding the storage or adding RAM. I find the touch bar to be very minimally useful but not enough to increase the cost of the machine.
I think imma get a 2017 MacBook Pro 13 with TouchBar with 1 TB and i7 cause the same specs for 2020 model is too much for me sorry lol
Can you give me a MacBook as a gift please 😆😆😆
What about real specs
Photoshop this, video editing that…get out of your bubble! Most people don’t do photoshop or video editing!
Video outdated now
