5G internet has been one of the biggest buzzwords in the tech world over the past few years. As the next generation of cellular technology, the faster speeds and lower latencies it promises to change everything from your phone to fields like self-driving cars and remote surgery. But there’s also been a lot of bad information and conspiracy theories. Here’s everything you need to know, from how 5G works, to how fast the speeds can get, to why it’s safe and doesn’t cause cancer.
Correction: At 1;30 and 2;36 the correct wording should be ‘gigabits’ and ‘megabits’. Thanks for pointing it out. We misspoke.

TOTALLY AWESOME !!!!!!
GET WIT 5G !!!!!! IMMA BELIEVER !!!! UPGRADE !!!!
1G information here is incorrect. 1G wireless data, or Cellular Digital Packet Data (CDPD) was available via PCMCIA cards on laptops and some handhelds, sled devices on Palms, serial devices from AirLink and Novatel, and a lot of equipment used for telemetry and police dispatch. It was 19.2kbps on paper, but really about 9.6kbps (with a tail wind), Internet access. There was also the Mobitex and DataTAC, which Blackerries and Apple Newtons initially used for WWAN, you could also get PCMCIA cards for them.
I think our video is a little bit more informative than yours.
@BFug
Simplified… 5G is like a very fast, VERY short range Wifi. Anyone with an advanced amateur radio license knows this. 5G is a whole lotta hype. Radio spectrum, frequency and transmission power ratios, combined to give effective range have been known for nearly 100 years. Digitizing still uses a carrier wave. Honestly, where’s the value for individuals? The 5G tech being hyped by Verizon, etc. only has a straight line 1,000 foot range! Inside buildings, it must have directional antennas to bend around corners, get through walls, floors etc. So maybe warehouses, manufacturing and hospitals… but good luck driving out on the open road and getting any value. You won’t see THAT explained in their commercials!
In your diagram, isn’t 5G near the microwave section? Ionizing is one side effect, which I understand doesn’t apply here, but what about heating?
Multi input multi out put arrays share the same principles of functionality as Active Electronically Scanned Array radars used by modern militaries for scanning, tracking and targeting mass amounts of ships, vehicles, planes, missiles and even shells. These things can track your position and speed
I got 3g on my phone, but I hardly use it since pretty much everywhere you go has WiFi.
5G technology is not sustainable, you would go bankrupt building enough 5G towers for proper coverage. What are the cost of building one 5g tower today? Electricity costs alone and borrowing with interest from banks for these towers would be in the minus revenue.
The question is if 5g is not working at its full potential right now , why do all carriers are basically giving away 5g phones and making it easy to get one , when 4g came out it wasn’t that easy to get a 4g phone , 🤔
When i will control the mind of people with iq under 130, by my phone, i want to turn them off. 😀
me: The only cons is its price
Q: I have a 4G phone that I purchased in July of 2020 (Nokia 9)..This phone stop making and receive calls 9/24/21.. Carrier AT&T.. so I called AT&T gave them IMEI No. and sims card id.. I was told by a spaz head that this phone would not work on the new network and that AT&T was in the process of changing from (2g-3g) to (4g-5g)..Thats how she put it??.. So I called At&t and spoke to a different PERSON and I gave them the same IMEI number and I was told the phone was able to work with the network.. so my question is ..if the concept of a 4g-5gis in place will most 4g phones work with a network that is in transition to 5g?
“Heating is the only possible effect of radio frequency radiation.”
Heating is what ee dont want with the bad climate rn
my skin is glowing after watching this video
This is misinformation. There are indications that cellular radiation is harmful. Why do they need to wear hazmat suits when installing a 5G tower? Please explain.
Keep nodding… Don’t research, don’t experiment, don’t compare at the crime rates in areas with 5g antennas ratio… Wow! It is very hard to concentrate and type this comment while this kids read their assigned script.
That’s why I went straight to 6g. A good friend that works at the local flea market got it for me. Cheap too, only $600 bucks
thank you
Why does the matter and why should I care? What’s its benefit?
1 year later im watching this with my 5g Tmobile Home internet. i have almost 400mbps down 64up at its peak. but im finding when i lose 5g once in awhile speeds go down to 11mbps down 2up. im guessing it still has its flaws but wen it works its fast!
Nice vid! i like the mediatek chips though they allow so much especially the new Dimensity 8000
Planning to buy 5g phone…my phone now with LTE/4g and 3g,2g but I switch the 4g and 3g depending on signal strength based on its location
.
With no long term health studies done, cases of cancer clusters in children due to the schools installing towers in the school yards, I think more study needs to undertaken before it is rolled out.
💯💯💯💯💯😁
No No, No 5G is not rolled out yet, everyone is still operating on 4G LTE or 4G Advanced Systems, except the very few places in some cities that have true 5G operating as of 2022. The cell wireless carriers are utilizing multiple 4G circuits during calls, that make it appear like its 5G, but no, not here yet. true 5G is line of sight only — do you see At&T, Verizon , and T‑mobile towers every 15 miles, no and in urban locations (non-cities) they will probably never get it, too many hills and mountains for 5G operation. QED.
just what I needed.Thanks a ton
Verizon 5G home internet: I have the ASK-NCQ1338 box and 4/5 bars for 5G signal. I got 330 download, 23 upload, no data cap. So easy, just plug in the power cord and it works. Verizon is $50/mo ($25/mo if u have unlimited cellphone plan), and I’ve cancelled cable. I tested 7 tvs streaming simultaneously in the evening and Speedtest said that the download speed was 177.
Cable internet/tv/phone bundle has been monopolizing/raping me for 20 years, and cable is unreliable, and TV picture is bad at 720P/1080i.
I have 60 devices. I have a large 2 story house 2600ft.
I also ordered another 5G home internet for my son who’s going back to college for his off-campus rental house. With 5G, all he had to do was plug and play. He didn’t have to contact the cable companies for setup.
2 yrs later…seems health is very much affected
What is 5g that’s 5th generation 😳😳😳😳😳😳
I live in Snohomish and have T‑Mobile. I live only 0.29 miles from the T‑Mobile tower.
Speeds I can pull from inside my bedroom are:
1) 5G: 700/100.
2) 4G LTE: 300/50.
3) Nationwide shutdown of 3G on July 1st, 2022.
4) Every speed test I’ve tried using keeps timing out over 2G.
This is killing birds 😭
Wow paid to lie yes damage do happen this is the largest Cover up on earth
