Amazon’s $110 tablet is great and terrible

Amazon’s Fire HD 8 tablet starts at $90 and goes up to $140 with a wireless charger bundle. It’s a Fire OS tablet that runs Android apps, but what it’s really meant for is watching Prime video, calling on Alexa, and reading Kindle books. It’s good at those things, but bad at everything else.

Do you wish there were more Android tablets to choose from?
Used Fire toolbox and had play store and an android launcher in 5 minutes. Disabled ads. Now it’s a fairly fast android 8 inch tablet for $75! Super easy. Not a pain at all! Try it!
For a $120.00 for basic net surfing and online shopping? It’s not bad for this is what most people do with their computers.
Amazon=Good
Amazon=Bad
Amazon=Amazon actually really good.
Not sure if I will still buy it after the prime day deal. I might just keep using my iPad 4 from 2012. Lmao.
Just a video I was looking for. Cleared all my doubts
Honestly, I bought a Fire Tablet last summer just so I could watch Netflix and Disney Plus while in bed. I also thought it would be good for college. I was wrong on that last bit and now I’m gonna order an iPad Air 4. You know a tablet is bad when you can’t even get the Microsoft Suite for doing work.
HORRIBLE TABLET!!!!!!!!
I’ve still got the HD 8 from 2016 and I love that thing. Used it hard for my undergrad textbook PDFs and whatnot, I’m getting the 2020 version for my master’s program to use with Zoom and Skype and all the other uni apps (will be side loading Google Play haha)
half of the apps u usally find arent even there, terrible storage and ads on your home screen so you cant put wallpapaer there😤
I am typing this on one and that title was a perfect description
Love audible. And love the fire ya let for its accessibility honestly. Finally just got mine. I have had my son one for like three years and just was waiting for the usb type c port. Plus the whole display stuff isn’t really a factor since my vision isn’t enough to tell the difference. Lol have an echo show 8 and you didn’t set off my speaker because I call mine echo fir that reason.
That why I got the 64gb version without ads and a case. I paid $170 total.
Glad I am not “here” in the us. Plenty of android devices.
🌈alert
Has minecraft install doesn’t show the game performance on the tablet 🙁
Bro just download the google play store on that tablet and shut up it’s not that hard
I’m a fire tablet owner (my company gave it for free as a Christmas gift), but I would say the iPad is way better. There’re no apps in Amazon’s store.
If only Amazon upgraded this to a 1080p screen & had a faster processor, it would be great 😄
I’m watching this on a Amazon fire 7 I got it for 35.43 on Amazon
O
Do you need to hack this to use YouTube?
I hate these tablets with a burning passion
Do not listen to this joker he has no idea what he is talking about. The fire tablets are amazing. Even a broken fire tablet still has Alexa and that can be used for a lot of stuff.
wanna know something funny I’m watching this video on a fire amazon tablet
Thanks for a great video. I have a Kindle Paperwhite and an iPad, but I’m thinking of getting a Fire 8+ soon. I’ll be using it for Kindle books, Audible and podcasts mainly. I’ll be using it mainly when I’m travelling.…easier to carry than my iPad. I’m going to be patient and wait until Black Friday. I’d be interested in seeing the sort of deal I’ll get by combining Black Friday with the Amazon Trade In discount (I have an old Kindle Fire 7).
Hi. Saw your video and I must say, I totally agree with you. I have a Kindle Fire 7, about six years old; slow but still working. I also have an iPad…newish. Your video helped me to make up my mind. I bought a Fire 8+. I love it.….for all of the things that it does well. I was amazed at how quickly and easily it was to set up. Basically, log on to Amazon and everything works. Just fantastic the way it linked to my Echo devices and my smart home devices without me even to have to put a tick in a box. Bit frustrated because it won’t log in to my iPhone’s wifi hotspot but other than that, everything appears to work. I’ve a feeling that as long as you don’t expect too much and stick to things like Kindle, Audible, Amazon Music and Movies then it will be just fine.…Oh, and I’ve just discovered Podcasts using Amazon Music:- nifty.
Got the 10 inch HD for my boy. Youtube is terrible on it blurry and glitchy looking its honestly pathetic. i dont know with the size of the things why the display is so shocking.
You lost me at the lgbtq plug.
