“It’s the most frequently asked question from fans of Forged in Fire—”When will we see bladesmiths compete against our judges?” Now, they are about to get their wish. In each episode, previous Forged in Fire Champions return to the forge for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity—to square off against our renowned Forged in Fire Masters in the highest stakes forging competition yet!
The challenges require higher skillsets and there are more tests to pass. First, the smiths must prove they have what it takes to challenge an icon by beating each other in a series of win-or-go-home forging challenges. The remaining two smiths will then compete with one of our seasoned Judges to create a fully functioning blade that will be evaluated and tested. If the challenger can find a way to prevail against our Judge in an intense bladesmithing showdown, they’ll walk away with $10K and eternal bragging rights.”

Love seeing Doug dual wield, he really becomes twice as deadly with 2 weapons.
Got to love that “sinister smile” 😁 of Doug while saying it will “KEAL” 😉😉😉
$5,000 per knife is probably the most profitable blade he will ever sell 🤑
Jay looked so proud of his opponent when the winner was announced. That’s awesome.
It WILL KEAL
I just started making blades 18 months ago.
This show is quite a education on edged weapons.
My atlantean sword is made from 5160 spring steel it’s a sharp weapon.
They were evenly matched — slicer vs destroyer, neither took any damage the whole way through but the deciding factor was the handle shape.
Get this guy some glasses
I feel like doug is a diluted phony.
I can only imagine the drinks after the filming 😂
I want to see the old guy compete.
3:12 doug kitting j
So close. I think it was 51%-49%. Fairplay against from judges. Hats off and well done guys.
Why does my man say kill like that, its creepy af
Why is the judge putting his other arm on his abdomen/Chest when hacking the log?
Burt’s Blade set were pretty awesome. looked good, performed good. Matched, and very stabbity stab stab stab!
Matching Doug’s slashes with the background score in KEAL test was peak level editing
I love how respectful everyone is in this show
It would be neat to have a full episode (maybe an off-season special) where Ben, J, and Dave compete against each other to make something truly special. Reasonable timeframe, no special challenge, just an opportunity to show off the best they can do. Could even get Jason in on it if he were willing. They always feature Ben as the host to beat, and he’s clearly capable, but I want to see the others at their best as well
Pin for some a billion cookies;
TLTR, but;
1 of the honorable episodes! shouldn’t have lost the 1st time!!! GIVE THIS SHOW TO THE HOST! AND ISSUE AN APOLOGY TO EVERYONE YOU CHEATED! BE REAL! and we’ll forgive you all 🙂 you taught us a ton about a hobby that would have never crossed most our minds! I’m a computer scientist fr’-cryin-a-lawd!! Good on you all, but all of you need to do better and bring our host back! Get some therapy! Make it happen! Men are suppose to be more than this! You owe your fans, at least! and yourselves! Your families! Your reputations! You self respect! You’re better than this! Yall’ know what I’m talking about!
Doug has way too much fun with the kill tests.
All smiles 😃 watching that keel test. 😂😂😂
Must be humbling
No me canso de disfrutar de su programa, pero ojalá lo doblen al español…
Glad I stumbled upon this series. An absolute gem! I wish I had the land these competitors have because best believe I’d be doing the same thing. Living in apartments limit EVERYTHING.
This is a classic
What season and episode is this?
Glad to see there was no favoritism for the judge.
You’ll be competing against…
Boss music starts
Burt’s blades were magnificent — J’s were champion-level too but that finger well really set him back… wish I knew why that happened it’s sadly not in the episode. But super cool that the judges are all perfectly capable of winning if not dominating the competition.
I wouldn’t say Jay lost
He made a bad grip decision
Those blades are wicked either way
Several times on forged you see contestants fall short over minuscule minute details. One guys weighs an ounce less, or has a pretty Damascus pattern the other guy didn’t use
There are no losers on forged
Merely men who get the forge gods to smile on them with luck, and Ben Abbott
What happened to all the forging?
2:37 Ah, a typical handshake in London
