NASA Science Live: How to Spot Comet NEOWISE
[vid_tags]
Have you seen Comet NEOWISE in the sky? ☄️ Visiting from the most distant parts of our solar system, it made its once-in-our-lifetimes close approach to the Sun on July 3, 2020 and will cross outside Earth’s orbit on its way back to the outer parts of the solar system by mid-August. Join experts on #NASAScience Live Wednesday, July 15 at 3:00 p.m. EDT to learn more about this comet and how you can spot it before it’s gone. Set a reminder to tune in!

It tells us we need these young scientific adventure
They said it’s over 4 billion years old so has it been falling for that long ?
She’s cute looking 😅
🙏
So.…so.….so.…and so.….so!.…so.…and so!.….so.…..so.….Pete’s sake
it loses gasses when she passes around the sun but how can sutch a relative small object survive since the birth of our solar system if it continiously lose gasses ans watervapor . billions of years wouldn’t it be already evaporated by now?
thanks for the video, it was very interesting
Ask NASA can we see neowise from Sikkim in northeast of India?
I’ve been doing research and I’m trying to see it tonight but I don’t know when to wake up. I live in Illinois in the suburbs if anyone can help me out
I never saw one…but I have a telescope
I’m curious what this comet looked like and what it was doing 1+ million years ago.…???…
I totally enjoy Emily and Joe’s astronomy enthusiasm! Such a rare treat, this comet!
I am very interested in NASA. Especially in the near future, I hope to reach the space hotel, and I definitely want to go, and I want to live a life of mysterious and wonderful memories.
how do you know if it’s not space traveler UFO!
Here in the south hemisphere is not visible, but the picture of NEOWISE comet is very beatfull in the sky
23:31
Lean it I love space
Wanna lean something cool 23:31
Can we see in Saskatchewan Canada?
It’s soo very beautiful Neowishcomet
The comet will return once the lockdown is over.
By August 1, it will be below Arcturus.
Please tell me the name (and other details) of the 2 telescopes shown at 0:39 and 0:45. I’m looking to buy a telescope just about that size. Thank you very much!
these people talk too slow
Our View (TX) now- 25 ish July’ 20 onward — now it is best viewed and photographed just at or after the first stars appear (NW horizon- just under the big dipper.) It will be best visualized by use of camera mounted on tripod or better to use telescope or binoculars) Neowise does not move fast but NOT be able to view it in it’s eliptical orbit after the end of July 2020- for at least 6000 YEARS.
🇩🇿My dream is to work for NAS satellite agency
Sublime!!
So, every comet is going to be called NEOWISE from now on?
MAYBE UNDER BIG DIPPER
Some really smart guy from the Internet just told me Earf is flat, NASA lies, and Neowise is just projected on “the dome.” I mean the guy was from the Internet. 🙂
Does we can use Sencer’s in space
Does we can use Sencer’s in space
Like tempreture checking

2:11 I didn’t find Emily’s explanation about the difference between comets and asteroids too clear. I found the text I saw on the screen at that point clearer.
14:12 I expected more of a compass direction in answer to this question. Isn’t that how you normally indicate the location of something in astronomy?
26:33 Why didn’t you add a voiceover to this part?
I hopefully traveling there soon, 💃😄😄😍🔥🔥👄🇸🇩🇸🇩🇸🇩🇸🇩💋💋💋💋🌑🌑🌑🌑🌑🌙🌙
Saw it it was awesome
How does comet neowise dust look like?
What does neowise comet dust look like under a microscope?
Thank you
I finnally saw it its so cool
Hello out walking at 3am.ish TUESDAY 15th DEC 2020 at CF64 5QH SULLY GLAMORGANSHIRE
Very black sky here at night because it’s on the coast. I first noticed what I thought was either the North Star or perhaps a satellite . It sat close to the pan handle of the plough. But… as I studied it it seemed to be fluttering like a kite trying to catch the wind but it began to appear more like a mosquito caught in a net only being allowed movement in a marked off area . I began to think my eyes were playing tricks but as I observed the stillness of the surrounding planets I realised this object looked like it was in a panic to escape a specific area which seemed to be darker that the rest of the sky. I decidedTo ask the concierge to come and observe as well it’s always better when a second person has seen something unusual that you’ve seen too. He took film of it as he had his camera and I decided to go home and collect mine at that point we said goodbye and Said I’m going back to see the object that is very bright and seem to have two dangling legs which made it look more like a mosquito. Returning with my camera it had shifted quite a lot further towards the middle of Sully going towards Penarth.
I filmed it and by this time it was dancing much further areas apart but still coming back to a fairly central point but now being able to follow off again in different directions as if it had seemed to have become freer. It was freed up in space at this point but always returning to the original area.I felt my mission was complete but I didn’t know what it was I guess it was a satellite I guess it was looking for somewhere to position itself I have no idea but an interesting discovery at the same time I was there with the concierge I happened to look out towards the sea and see what I could only think for one moment was shooting star but it was different to shooting star it’s seem to have spread out so I’m not sure if it was a comet but he missed that and I certainly didn’t get it on camera it looks like it was going down into the sea.
So two very two very interesting objects on one night. That’s the second time in my life but the one I saw before something amazing the first was in 9073 and that was amazing on a bright winters morning when I saw something like a fluorescent shaped light very bright going through the blue sky at a rate of knots compare to an aeroplane I followed it until I couldn’t see any more with my eyes. I got to work and they hadn’t opened up and we were waiting and I told the others what I’d seen at that point we all looked towards the sky and the thing I had seen going horizontally straight across the sky had then turned upright and was totally vertical I just carried on going up until it disappeared we never spoke of it again none of us reported it it was just something we saw very highly unusual still don’t know to this day what it was but I shall always wonder which makes me think there are bigger greater things out there than us because at that speed I can’t imagine any one from earth travelling at that speed across the sky and then straight up through the stratospheres. Interesting one if anyone can explain what I seen it would be great to have your thoughts. thank you for reading…goodbye! Ross-Lyn.😊
Unsure how to upload fil I took.m
