Also, the nar­rat­ed part of this film is far more enjoy­able than that done by the guy from Syra­cuse. I googled the Aztecs and the Mayans did­n’t inter­act because of geo­graph­i­cal dis­tance but that infor­ma­tion seems off to me since they are so sim­i­lar. Mex­i­co and Belize are also in prox­im­i­ty. Maybe the height of their empires were dif­fer­ent time frames. They both built pyra­mids, did the human sac­ri­fice and had a fix­a­tion with blood. There def­i­nite­ly was an indige­nous cul­ture shared between the two civ­i­liza­tions. I’m guess­ing the Mayan and Aztec lan­guage can sound very sim­i­lar or share some words.
