Google’s Pixel 4A is here, and has even announced the upcoming Pixel 4A 5G and Pixel 5. Today, though, we have a Pixel 4A review. Google has priced the Pixel 4A at just $349, which is $100 less than a 128GB iPhone SE. Even at that aggressive cost, the 4A delivers a best-in-class camera for photos. Will the slower processor hold up to years of use, though?

Will you wait for the Pixel 5?
i don’t think people should compare pixel 4a’s price to iphone se 64gb version’s. yes, pixel 4a costs $349 with 128gb, while iphone se at $400 comes with… 64gb.
why reviewers don’t tell their audiences that for iphone se to match pixel 4a, they have to pay more.
$349.00????? 🆘 It’s… 1/2021 & going for $499.00 here in California
I been wanting to research this phone and how good it is and this has really helped
i bought the phone
and what i like about it is that the finger print is on the back of the phone 😀 lol
But the iPhone se is water resistant wireless charging and a much faster processor
It is SO painful for this guy to give any credit to Google for anything. Talk about wearing your Apple bias on your sleeve!
As much talked about, I don’t find the camera that much good. Camera is bad
I just switched from an iPhone SE to the Pixel 4a and I think the pixel is just as fast. Especially when in browsing. Even most games I barley notice a difference, it might be the “smoothness” he mentioned. The camera processor is slower but the Pixel camera is worth it. I couldn’t be happier with mine. I think the SE is overpriced. It felt exactly like my old 8. When I buy a new phone I want it to feel “new” not “the old one but faster” Also the SE still has the old circle home button, the pixel has a full screen with the fingerprint reader on the back. I’ve only ever expected phones to last 2–3 years so I think the 3 year support is just fine. It’s not like phones change THAT much each year. Google is being a lot more customer friendly with the aux cord too and using Android 11. I listen to music all the time and I used wired headphones. Having the aux cord and being able to charge my phone is great. I was able to download retroarch emulator directly from the play store. Loaded up some roms and the pixel was running Pokemon black 2 with ease. I think the Pixel 4a is a no brainer when compared to the SE.
Wireless charging is a gimmick. It’s not efficient and is really slow.
Am I the only person who knows nothing about photography and just want pictures to be clear?
I just recently got this phone. Love everything about it but does anyone notice the display being a little to warm in colour? I have my night mode off but the whites still look a bit yellow. Wished google allowed users to control the temperature of the display 🙁
It’s fine for Instagram 😁
Best $350 I ever spent. Great phone. Then T‑Mobile offers me an $800 credit for a 256 GB S21 Ultra with a $200 Samsung shopping credit. The Samsung credit turned out to be $265 worth of free Samsung goodies (love those Buds Live). Again, the best $350 I ever spent.
This is all the smartphone 95% of people need, or even want.
I watched many reviews of this phone in trying to decide whether or not to make the purchase and this guy just annoyed me a bit. Seemed condescending and jaded by high-end phones that he’s had the luxury of using and reviewing free of charge. Consensus seems to be that this phone offers a great user experience for the price. Some of us aren’t looking for mini computers, we’re simply looking for daily use devices to handle the basics. Bells and whistles are lost on us. I’m happy to take a chance on this phone.
For me they cut out the most loved things such as: squeeze sensor and the vibration motor. I feel good about them keeping the back quality material.
All I want from google is a new pixel 3 feel with a better battery, that’s all.
I bought the se but I am warning you. Don’t ever consider iPhone se 2020. That A13 is a big gimmick. The moment I tried to use that power the battery darined in an hr. I mean PUBG throttles a lot after 20 mins in se and is unplayable because of bad thermals. I think Google pixel 4a is the only phone without a single gimmick.
I been using this phone for 9 months. Love it, I still can’t believe I only payed 349 for it, great haptics, good speakers with a surprising amount of bass, nice screen. Unbelievable battery life- after using it for 1 week, And yeah the camera.. pretty much all you really need in a cellphone at a very affordable price.
Please, no constant drumming in the back ground next time, some of us use headphones.
I like the pixel 4a but the iPhone se is water resistant and a faster chip
for everybody talking about pixels portrait croping. u could just take a normal photo and make it a portrait in google photos and i always do that so no croping ; come guys u know better . u can have control over the blur and portrait light is a good addition to.
How about 4xl
As I grow older I don’t care for gaming as much as I did. Now I’m just about watching TV shows. I feel Google pixel 4a is for me.
wowowoowowow
It feels funny to me when reviewers complain about saying “it’s not the best looking screen” it has an OLED bro! 99% of the people will be absolutely fine. And they have 0 complaints on the iPhone when they straight up habe LCD screen🤷🏽
I love how minimalist the design is. Every smartphone company should take note, make your logo smaller and almost the exact same color as the rest of the phone xD
I got the 4a 5G yesterday. It’s been a day, but I love it. Best phone I’ve had since the S8.
most simple budget phone i ever seen
Perfect phone for me. I love the form factor and this phone works works well for my use case. I only watch YouTube, use Chrome to browse the internet, play songs on Spotify and take pictures here and there. What would I need a flagship phone for? The BASIC is all I need.
you really don’t need to spend too much for a decent phone
