I’m still using a Xbox one and I’m grate­ful for it. The only bad things bout it is it glitch­es and like doesn’t let me play cer­tain games because I have a non next gen con­sole but that’s basi­cal­ly it so it’s still pret­ty nice for gaming.

As some­one who has a Series S, graph­ics are pret­ty good, but unless you’re a one game kind of per­son, just go for the X. You’ll be out of stor­age imme­di­ate­ly on the S, and to upgrade to a larg­er expan­sion dri­ve means you’ve basi­cal­ly paid the same as for an X for worse graph­ics and no disk drive 😢

You’re flat wrong about opti­cal dri­ves. Hav­ing phys­i­cal games means that you can resell them when you’re done.

I see peo­ple talk­ing about re-sell­ing games. Sound nice, but you can’t even recoup a frac­tion of what the game cost.

Who cares how effi­cient the xbox s is because it does­nt use discs. I like being able to have phys­i­cal copies of my games.

Yes, mate. We may be past the opti­cal dri­ve era but we all own thou­sands of dol­lars of disks.

It would be nice to be able to play them occa­sion­al­ly in our cur­rent Xbox with­out re pur­chas­ing them online.

What he is not telling you when you don’t own a “phys­i­cal” copy of the game you paid your hard earned mon­ey for, you are trust­ing that the clouds that these games are saved on will always be there for you to access. 

Google para­mount and what they did to peo­ple who bought movies dig­i­tal­ly. Para­mount qui­et­ly told peo­ple some movies would not be acces­si­ble any­more due to cloud storage.

Beware dig­i­tal buy­ers when Xbox and PS tell you your game is not acces­si­ble 10 years from now because of stor­age issues, You won’t event think about the mon­ey you spent for some­time you real­ly did­n’t own.

With that being said. Games should not be as expen­sive as they are since if you buy it dig­i­tal­ly you nev­er know when they will pull the plug and they will. Keep­ing these games acces­si­ble in the cloud to down­load ain’t free, hence why para­mount did what they did to dig­i­tal movies and what will sure­ly hap­pen to video games bought dig­i­tal­ly in the future.
