Pro-tip from driver: if you order food delivery at night PUT ON YOUR DAMN PORCH LIGHT.
If the number of your house is hard to find, behind a bush, nonexistent, leave directions which describe the color of your house, what’s in front of it,or something like that.
For example, I was delivering a late night order to an area where thr numbers were hard to find. I literally could not find rhe addresses on the houses, no lights on, and it wasn’t on the street either. Finally guy walks up and I confirm its him. I tell him sorry I couldn’t find the house numbers and he’s like yeah it’s hard to see (first flag). He tries to show me where it is and he, the person who lives there, literally could not find it himself ( mega flag)😂.You live here and you can’t find it, so how can I, I thought to myself. We said our goodbyes and I never found out where that stupid house number was.
Also, type your address in, don’t be lazy and drop the pin. The drop isn’t always accurate when you drop it. If it shows your foods dropped off and it’s not where you said to leave it go check your neighbors houses.
Just last night I had an order that was supposed to be left at the door but the address was wrong.Luckily he had preemptively texted me and described his house because when I got to the address it did not look how he told me ( same color but no green door). His house was two houses down from the listed address and if he hadn’t described his house I would have delivered it to the wrong one.
Fortunately when I discovered the error I texted him to confirm his address and he got his food.
Don’t get me wrong, great information, presentation of getting talked to like I’m slightly dumb 😅 not my fav.
Her focus on the “cheaper” app takes away from encouraging tipping..you realize we are still in a pandemic and drivers are risking their health for you $1 tip..be kind and appropriately tip your drivers
Nah fam.…. you are wrong.… doordash is more expense than uber.… I checked it myself.…
Ive been on doordash for a year it was smooth and quick delivery all the time. 2 weeks ago i tried uber eats and a driver stole my food and screwed over 2 other drivers. The 2 other drivers went to the restaurant too because the order stayed active one of them travelled a mile on a bike. Never again door dash is way better uber makes it easy for drivers to steal food.
Scheduled delivery always come like hours early
Both are terrible and the customer service is horrible they won’t even refund you the order of $40 dollors.
If she was my delivery driver, her chin would arrive 10 minutes before my food
Support Black-owned,look like communism
I worked for doordash just outside of Seattle WA for just over 6 months and hated it, I just switched to Ubereats and find it a way better company to work for. Doordash is a scam that uses their driver ratings as a tool to suppress driver wages — they flood my app with delivery opportunities that are 10 to 30 miles away and outside of my delivery zone (for $5 or $10 worth of pay including tip), this means these are 20 to 60 mile deliveries by the time I drop off the food and drive back to my delivery zone. If I decline the orders then doordash puts my account on idle and quits sending me new delivery opportunities, this also lowers my acceptance rating, meaning, I don’t qualify for the top dasher program (which lowers my pay for future deliveries). I also find doordash support unhelpful, and have had them blatantly lie to me a few times about my pay — they have refused to pay me the half pay when another driver mistakenly takes my delivery, or the restaurant is closed, which is literally theft of wages. Doordash also has biases built into their app that prioritizes new drivers, so the longer you work for doordash the worse the pay becomes. Just my experience working for doordash- low pay, theft of wages, super frustrating app that is always having issues, dasher app is designed to retaliate against drivers that decline low paying delivery opportunities.
Don’t they put stickers in the bags of the food so they’re safe. Because of the pandemic here in Spain is mandatory that restaurants do so
I’ll…I’ll just get a car…
Was good til it was racist
Those are the saddest looking Cali burritos I’ve seen
boycott the blood suckers
I say UberEats for some reason doordash keeps declining me.
I never even looked for a tip at the door step while delivering food to a customer i would think they just dropped money by accident
Why are we watching this??? I have both.
DoorDash definitely wins.
It’s far away from UberEars
i am still confused on which one to pick
I always notice Uber eats is delivered quicker , DoorDash is more expensive and slower
👍
I came here to see if I could find out why the identical items at a restaurant were very different in price. NOT including the delivery fee.
Crab rangoon (8 pc) UE: $5.75 UE vs. DD: $7.50
Chicken Lo Mein (large) UE: $8.75 vs. DD: $12.90
Hot and sour soup (small) UE: $2.95 vs. DD: $4.20
Subtotal UE: $17.45 vs. DD: $24.60
This is BEFORE taxes and fees.
Even crazier is that I signed up for DD Pass which is supposed to save 10% and DD was still way more expensive.
I wasn’t hungry enough to make both purchases and compare what arrived, but I cannot imagine that the portion sizes would be different. I imagine that a Chinese restaurant puts the same amount of noodles in the small size of both orders. But, I did not do a side by side test.
