Everything was good till he said $199
Nice job!!😀😘
This guy doesn’t get enough attention for cleaning up the ocean, unlike the fear mongering high school drop out.…
$199.00 for recycled plastic sunglasses no thanks.
What ocean cleanup is doing is awesome, an awesome concept, great start on environmental cleanup.
I’m guessing if someone calls these glasses garbage, they’d be right huh…
we need Mrbeast to get thousands of this glasses and give it to people!!!
I will never understand why recycling isn’t the law of the land.
Boyan, please make some filaments for 3D printers, that would allow us to create many products for our own needs.
PET and nylon are widely used filaments in the industry.
I love the idea. Why not use the plastic to build solar panels and wind turbines to help produce renewable energy.
This is the guy Jordan Peterson supports
LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT GREAT JOB GUYS

Turn the plastic into 3d printer filament!
This project should be government funded…
That’s why I stopped throwing all my trash in the ocean. So sorry.
loving the reporter’s living room
Can that plastic be turned into building materials like for cars or homes not just sun glasses ?
Thanks C|NET …
An Woesom production from trash.
What a technical, project it is!
Take plastic crap, make plastic crap. 😅
More of this lad and less of greta thurnberg
I get it but aren’t you just gonna end up back at square one by reintroducing the plastics back into society, where they’ll end up back at sea?
I like the way of recycling. The price is a bit high though, should be more price competitive if he wants to expand the size.
Put him on Ellen
People will buy it and throw it back in the ocean. Funny if they find these in the trash
who would pay $200 for a really low-quality sunglasses in an economic crisis?
Wish they would make bricks out of it as well.. To build houses
I adore this man’s work and absolutely see the need to raise capital for the venture in different ways but surely this is the wrong ethos?
To release more plastic based product packaged in plastic into the world when we already know that we as a species still do not recycle plastic effectively and that the material itself is toxic thanks to micro-plastics permeating into food and water supply chains…
Great idea, wayy to overpriced at $200+. Also, what impact do these interceptors have on the ocean/river life?
Imagine paying 200 dollar to get sunglasses made of literal trash
it’s not surprising that they’re going for $199 since it looks very labor intensive which is one of the reasons why recycling is such a challenge versus virgin plastic use.
Companies need to stop with the plastic altogether and use biodegradable materials.
too expensive!
WTF? $200? I wanted to support the cause but that’s not cool.
They should send one to Casey Neistat for a review!!
I would pay like 45 or 50 bucks . Only Eco friendly wealthy people will be buying those.
👏 You should try to sell the plastic pellets to other companies!
It doesn’t ship to Singapore, unfortunately
Ultimate…
The rich needs to be onboard with it. Make it a fashion statement.
Is this guy using a Dell laptop which had the webcam at the bottom of the screen?
Nice to see.
👏👍🇧🇷🌍
You already work with scientists. in order to bring more money into your business, you could sell your plastic raw materials to the companies that produce plastic goods and could recycle your collected plastic and pay you for it. I admire your job and am very grateful for what you do!
later thousands of plastic sunglasses have been found in the ocean who would make such a item
Plastic is waste, it is absolutely not as recyclabe as aluminium or glass. Recycling plastic is such a lie. Just go to recycling companies and ask them directly.
Boyen is amazing
