If you love tinkering with computers, you’ll love the Raspberry Pi 400. It works great for basic tasks or as a secondary computer. It may be a bit pokey in some respects, but when you hear the price, you won’t complain.

3:21 “I hear that’s what the kids like” LMAO
Looks like a laptop without a display
So is there a wire to connect the keyboard to the monitor? And, without the $30 SD card, what are it’s capabilities?
That’s pretty cool. I don’t feel like it’s there just yet but give it another two or three years and this will be the way
YouTube and Office documents? You may have missed the point. It’s about learning computing as a creator — not as a consumer. The book is a really great way to get kids and bright adults into what it takes to create new software.
I always try to understand why would you pay that much for something like this, you could easily get broken laptop or Microsoft surface, plug it in, install PoP OS and you would be more then able to run YouTube while doing something entirely different, I found this broken pile of Microsoft surface Pro 3 with i5 8gb of ram for 130$, just plug this boy right there and you just got yourself full working mini station, just enough for some lighter work etc
Reading out of a book can be much easier on the eyes and more comfortable then reading off a screen, for many people.
You can fix that by updating the Pi and Chromium and by Hardware Acceleration.
spills coffee on the keyboard
Nooooooo.. All my data is gone
The problem is that is too slow to substitute a true computer. I have tried at home and is too slow
This also exists as a standalone keyboard. What do you think of the typing experience? Can this be used for working/gaming like a compact keyboard? Or does it feel worse than a laptop keyboard?
its a beautiful piece. The beauty of Mac with Linux inside and to be able to Tinker Thats Raspberry.
You used chromium that’s your problem
Can you do any coding on this such as html and css ?
If you could select update bios in raspi-config and it checked your system wasn’t locked unlocked the bios and file system if necessary and updates the bios after restart. The solution and advice out there for this new to pi issue is crap I have to keep buying a new SD because I haven’t managed to update my bios and don’t have a pc to load up the full os which is all that sort of works until I get that damn bios updated.
The cutest computer in the whole world
Don’t underestimate this thing ..
I got the video playback to be pretty smooth with some slight tweaking.
buy this and run FreeBSD on it
Do you know which buttons I press to get pause/break?
My mom got me this and now I use it for school and confuse everybody
It makes more sence to have a computer in a keyboard than build into a monitor
Can you play games on this keyboard without lag?
There is an extension card called DACberry which gives you a 3.5 audio output. It can be connected to the GPIO port.

I live off Grid, so I’m looking for a small computer that can take notes, run an off grid internet education system, maybe make music with FL studio, hold recipes,1st aid books, etc .
Does Autodesk Tinker Cad possible? Because Tinker Cad is web browser based software, I think it’s possible. But I want to be confirmed.
Does google spreadsheet, Google word possible?
$70? In Canada it’s $170 shipped.
