Narrated by Academy Award® nominee and Emmy Award® winner Laurence Fishburne (“Black-ish,” John Wick, The Matrix, Apocalypse Now and Boyz N The Hood), History’s Greatest Mysteries will investigate a wide range of historically compelling topics and the mysteries surrounding each, including the Titanic, D.B. Cooper, Roswell, John Wilkes Booth and more. The franchise will showcase fresh, new evidence and perspectives, including documents never before released to the general public, personal diaries and even DNA evidence, to unearth brand-new information about some of History’s most infamous and enigmatic chapters.
Incredible discoveries uncovered within “History’s Greatest Mysteries” include a 100-plus-year-old box filled with the investigative findings of Lord Mersey, the man charged with leading the official inquiry into the sinking of the Titanic, and a personal diary from Major Jesse Marcel, the first person to investigate the wreckage in Roswell, NM believed to contain coded clues to what really happened that night in 1947. In addition, for the first time, the family of John Wilkes Booth is releasing 60 boxes of sealed family documents and allowing a DNA test that may hold the answers to whether he truly died in a fire following the assassination of Abraham Lincoln, or if he faked his death as many believe.
HISTORY® is the leading destination for award-winning original series and specials that connect viewers with history in an informative, immersive, and entertaining manner across all platforms. The “epic” music in the background is so corny
More propaganda for the sake of propaganda. Learn the facts.
Influencers: sinking ships since 1912
Titanic didn’t have to sink 😢
why would you sail full pelt
through growlers and icebergs.….?
why be on such a northerly latitude at
that time of year.…on a moonless night.…?
did somebody WANT the TITANIC sinking.…?
Did anyone do research on this. The one guy said Murdoch said hard to port. That is incorrect. It was “hard a starboard”
So did Rose and Jack really see the iceberg hit or was that added later to make the movie more interesting? I bet they were still down in stowage humping in that old jalopy.
45 seconds. How many hours we waste in our life without thinking about some minutes at some situations could change everything
The officer on watch could have used his own initiative
And slowed the ship when
The captain had retired to
His cabin!
Wreckless navigation sank the ship. Nothing else. The ship was designed well and the iceberg was minding its own business.
Is this Morpheus voice?
When you think about it, it’s possible…very possible…that the lookouts were distracted by the scene depicted in the 1997 movie, where DiCaprio and Winslet were “making out”, right before the collision with the iceberg. Had they sighted the iceberg much sooner, speed could have been reduced to slow, or to “all stop”, with “left full rudder”: this would’ve allowed a “wide berth” around it, followed by shifting their rudder & returning to original course and speed…(and you don’t need some know-it-all Coast Guard broad to tell you that..)
This video is absurd.
God punished them for writing in the bottom of the ship
God himself couldn’t sink this ship
The crows nest had no glasses..apparently locked away in a case with no keys.…,which was a grave error ‚no pun intended.
History no es confiable no hay rigor científico
It’s just the (tip)of the iceberg!!!let it (sink) in!!!
U have to mind for it to Matter„that’s a matter of fact!!!
It was ripped open like a canned ham.
286 feet of 882 foot ship instantly compromised.
As for global warming hoaxers, bear in mind larger ice bergs calved then compared to now.
Explain that away.
It wasn’t the Titanic it was the Lusitania study what really happened you’ll find out the crew that was on board of boilers quit because they knew it wasn’t the Titanic.
Since when were icebergs that far south in the Atlantic that time of year ? 🧐
Whenever I read or watch about the Titanic,it makes me feel more than just sad. It angers me that the individuals entrusted to protect disregarded their obligations and thousands suffered terrifying trauma & death. I wonder how they felt when she hit the iceberg. RIP to her passengers and crew
Who else is here in 2024?
More to the point, why wasn’t Captain Smith on the bridge that night when they were coming to the most dangerous part of the voyage? I believe if he’d had of been there history would be very different.
Ok, granted I’m only 5 minutes in, but I HAVE to ask WHO is responsible for this horrid closed captioning? There’s not a capital letter to be seen, no punctuation, and spelling is atrocious! ismay, is may, ishmae! The only reason I have CC on is because I must use my headphones and they’re not the best, but this is looking like it’s going to be a challenging “read”.
Smith is turly to blame, along with the company.
I compare the people running this beautiful ship to a
Dumb teenager driving his corvette down a mountains road.
Can’t we get History TV to air in India again?? 🙂
They were warned .,…fate have it otherwise…
Speed reduction and more alertness… all crew members captain careless attitude
.… nothing was there for emergency situation in the ship
Classic case of speeding
Arrogance sunk Titatic
I just wonder when he said the titanic would never sink, what if it was there part of the plan to kill everyone
I am Mr . Flanders
He was in warned
Captain Smiths
That’s why. They. They. are. frozen
In the Dept of. The. Frozen. The. Sea
THE OPPOSERS OF CENTRAL BANK AND SURVEILED MONETARY SYSTEM “ACCIDENTALLY” WAS ON THE SHIP😂
Coal bin was on fire. He was going fast to reach destination before total burnout, pressure due to performance on maiden voyage. That’s the cause I read about.
Ego of man kills
🤳
If I was the Captain of the Titanic, and I received all the information from
the other ships about Icebergs Etc.,
I would of made a course to make
the Titanic to miss all the Icebergs,
Etc.
It was a series of mistakes that ultimately led to the iceberg striking the ship
Maybe captain smith did this intentionally
