Good beginning by Lenovo
It’s amazing how Lenovo figured out a way to get rid of the crease.
This is almost like my iPad Pro 12.9
But can you play The Sims 4 with all the game packs in it tho?
I’ll be into it when they make the first twice folding device
Holy shit, folding screens have a better future for laptop-tablets than smart phones 😂
I like it but it’s so expensive. I can not buy it. I feel sad. I come from Vietnam.
Why can’t windows do this?.….
0:57 there is one imposter among us
I rather have all my individual devices different batteries different uses
This product is so underated
Can this connect to an HP notebook?
Isn’t this kind of just a weird surface pro? What advantage does this actually give you aside from some modest space savings
If money wasn’t a problem, which it always is in case of foldables for now, this is the foldable I would buy without hesitation.
I’m interested how Lenovo has revisited the forgotten form factor of the netbook, a backwater eddy of tech. Forgotten Tech would be an interesting series like Forgotten Weapons is.
It simply looks amazing and something I’ve been dreaming about for years. We’ll have to wait a little longer until it also becomes affordable for most people, but I see this as a common form factor in the future, and I’ll love using it
So not many negative points with this Lenovo Fold, would have been nice to have a unbiased version with no promotion from the manufacture.
Samsung needs to jump on this train! a device with Google play apps and Windows functionality with DeX would be amazing
51% Off right now actually…
Its good but i could get a laptop or tablet instead
Those bezels are thick as, making this device already look retro.
The Asus Flow 17 foldable has obviously improved on this form factor…and incidentally is what Microsoft’s own Surface Neo was meant to be.
Tablet, fold into a laptop with an attachable keyboard or virtual.
Is it possible for you to send that across to me. i would put that to use as i am into designing. Never been lucky in my life but thought why not just ask.
Seeing this as a combined laptop and smartphone (in the future especially if the goal is to have one device that can actually do it all).
Still expensive so let’s wait for more manufacturers to follow and play around with this type of design
The think pad that I see the most is a laptop and not a tablet
Zenbook 17 fold!
Hopefully they add a lighting port to the next Gen.
Wow!! the keyboard insertion flat is great.
I used this thing for a few days and I can tell you it’s awful. The screen is not very bright thus needing to be set to the brightest level. But then that kills the battery in under 3 hours. The keyboard is patchy and typical of bluetooth keyboards — lots of repeated keys, and jiggles badly when it’s sitting on the desk. Don’t even bother launching MS Word because the keyboard is strictly very light use. It’s not backlit so forget about using it at night. The trackpad is too small. The software is buggy and forgets whether it’s supposed to be in landscape or portrait mode. Boot time is slow and it reboots now and again for no reason.….. No headphone jack, sound quality not great.
The concept is amazeballz. That keyboard concept made my jaw literally drop
naol!
good idea, but as you did not cover the specs currently… slow I5, only 8gb ram and it just feels sluggish sometimes.… great idea and great for consumption of videos / content and quick notes but that is about it.
Maybe even a virtual keyboard for the bottom half would be nice. (software) like the old Acer Iconia 6120
Which camera are you using to capture this video?
Screw that choice of CPU, though. Too bad, this is otherwise very interesting and I love the out of the box thinking.
The only real problem is the battery life.
Too thick
i had one it was nice but i wont recommend one! over price and novelty, it can be “cute” but get microsoft surface go 3 instead keep it simple
I just discovered this today after seeing the 17 inch folding tablet by Asus I might pick one of these up, I only wish they’d offer full phone call capability in tablets. I wouldn’t carry a phone(typed from Surface duo 2)
Thing is glitchy as all hell. Ill wait for a better one, most likely by apple
I want this
Laptops aren’t fine, they’re a terrible form factor so I disagree with your assumption there. Not sure whether the big foldable 13″ tablet is a better form factor, but I’m open to it.
Me “I need this gadget in my life“
Marques: “It is $3000“
Me: Am good…so how much was that Chinese tablet again?
I’m a fan of the concept.
DON’T LOSE YOUR MONEY, INCREDIBLE CUST SERV, DO NOT BUY X1 fold, OR ANY LENOVO PRODUCT, we purchased one for first time, barely used it maybe 10 times and by the 4th month it failed, wouldn’t start up, called Lenovo, explianed situation and they approved to send us a replacement, they flat out lied to us because 6 days later we received an empty box to ship it for repair, not replacement as we we’re promised. So we shipped for repair. 10 days later not having heard from them we called, it turns out that the repair was on hold, they were charging us $1337 to replace the motherboard, when Ii remind them it’s 4 months from purchase and barely used, they excuse themselvesby lying again saying it had water damage, it had been stored in office drawer for most of the 4 months, they couldn’t even have cliamed it had dust damage due to it have been put away withot use. Total lies.
Man,I can’t wait until Apple presents a laptop/tablet/phone and then the keynote is like “A laptop, A phone, and a tablet. A LAPTOP, A PHONE, AND A TABLET, are you getting it? These aren’t three separate devices, this is one device!”
sweet!!
This thing is much more impressive than whatever Macbook generation Apple is working on right now…
Really looking forward to a folding ipad! I need one…
