Wow, they found an old axe on an island, that is “under geo.reconstruction” since nearly 250 years…no, never before an axe broke, noone left one, no one lost one…when they did that large reworking of the whole site, there is no wonder that trees needed to be chopped down and an axe broke…and everybody who worked in a swampy terrain while raining knows what happens to tools put somewhere and not stowed correctly…they simply disappear in the mud…oh what a sensational find…bet it is roman…lol!!!
why haven’t they just metal detectored the whole island by now. Island ain’t that large.
Remeber the palmfiber keeps the nuphilums septic tank full of water.
They found an axe head!I’m impressed!
The joke of curse island
Could it be that what I’m saying is a joke? Could it be for years and years I’ve been lying to you? Or could it be that the show is a hoax? Stay tuned for the next 5 years and you’ll have your answer
Vi to Spiderman
“Look, anotha Bobby Dazzla”
The History Channel of itself has now become the LIE.
Season 8, that tells you how close they are…not. How long is the History channel going to waste money on this? Long ago, I found this interesting. Now its year 8.…yawn. I find it difficult to believe that a pirate in the 1700s, with limited equipment and resources, was able to construct an elaborate cache of treasure complete with booby traps and obstacles.
Oh great!, they found my axehead that fell off and i lost 10 yrs ago
I think the money pit = the number of episodes X the number of hits. If there was something there, I suspect it is long gone, or absolutely mashed by treasure hunters, not archaeologists. Archaeologists use paint brushes, greed driven treasure hunters use excavators and destroy wildlife and history. Tell me there was no impact by coffer dams or draining the swamp or just clawing up chunks of underground hoping to see the glint of gold. Imaginations are running wild with mother loads, vault rooms. Apparently down there, is, the arc of the covenant, king Louis 16 crown jewels, Shakespeare’s manuscripts, a Spanish armada fortune, and pirate booty. Did I get that right? Gold fever, commit them. 🙁
Stop tearing up the island. An archaeologist would put in a test trench, to the limit of his resources, which in Ur case, would be the width of the island. If u don’t use excavators, u can study the strata of the soil down to bedrock. It will show anybody’s effort to dig down, wether it be 1600–1700, or more recently. U are looking for what’s down there, not studying who made what hole. Digging mud out of a excavator test pit masks what happened. U need water pumped out, and an archaeologist looking at the strata over a number of linear yards.
alien has already taken the treasure lol, they re just waitting their times hahaha lol
They found a boy scouts campground.
This is why Flintstone became a cartoon
Gary ear rings ascent can’t stand him
They feel old🤣
Don’t think those axes were knights templar mabey knights of columbus pirates had swords I think ha ha
There are that many tools in the area as its likley there was a ship either repaired or broken up in the swamp area.
aXe marks the spot
Laird never has information
Those axe heads are too small for chopping trees down. Give me a break! They don’t know what they’re talking about they just make up stuff.
Their not that old.
It’s a bloody axe! Too small for chopping trees down just good for
trimming branches and cutting twigs up. What greenhorns these! guys are. You can down a good sized tree with a hatchet. You see pictures of lumberjacks chopping down giant redwood trees with a single bit axe. You don’t need a double bit axe. I think you need smarter crew members that know what they’re talking about instead of some one who makes up stuff to try and impress others!
Next time I need a new axe I can go to Lowes and ask for a Forrest axe? Not a single bit axe or a double bit axe but a Forrest axe! The salesman wouldn’t know what I was talking about and wanted to know where I got the idea of a Forrest axe. When I told him I learned all about axes from watching The Curse of Oak Island he laughed and told me those guys on the show are green horns.
Could it be? Is it possible? Just Axe Gary!
An island.. called Oak Island… that hasn’t got any oaks left on it. Not for over a hundred years…..And they find a couple of old axes…. WOW shocking.. how could that happen.
I love all the new discoveries they have been making.
