nobody likes dave for his strength test🤣
“Why would you ever attack a battering ram with a sword? I don’t know” It’s clear he never played Aoe2
1:47 That’s what she said🤣.
“Never made a sword of this caliber.…”. No pun intended.
Most importantly it wil Keeeeaaaal
During the sharpness test Doug struck the target well above center with Lyles sword where the target was much more flexible …
Still a loss for the weapon becoming loose though
Being scottish ‚it would have been good if they did the same as Wallace & used the back skin of an English noble on they’re swords hilt
Please get some stronger people to swing these swords..I get that these people are knowledgeable. But they arent in the physical condition to give these swords the right test.
The Wallace sword isn’t a claymore. This show consistently gets so much wrong.
why the F are they blunting the weapon with the strength test and then doing the sharpness test???
This program is freaking cruel, even if the animals are dead, watching them rage against those dead animals makes me feel so bad… Actually I don’t know why I have this kind of stuff on my home page, maybe the YouTube’s algorithm has something against me.
this blade is taller then my mom jeez
this “keal” guy gives me the creeps
WU-TANG FOREVER
I feel that both competitors failed to add enough salt and transmission fluid to the oil for the quench. This would have added more hardness and viscosity to the blade.
Should be the late 13th century…not 12th
BADDUR!! 8:11
As a Scot, who was a Weapons Engineer and great Grandfather a Blacksmith, I am usually dismissive of foreign made Great Swords, they are usually too Heavy and don’t understand the weapon, both these however were good Swords, James’s is one of the most impressive I’ve ever seen, a test they missed was ability to puncture Maile and Gambeson, which is what these often encountered, I’ve seen the real, historical versions of these Swords, how they made them back in the day is equally impressive. The term Claymore is often used for these, not strictly true, there is many threads on that argument! I’d pay good money for a Sword from James, you could take down a horse or thread through a gap in armour with that!
Did they have a bbq with all that pig after?
The sword is just as big as me 😮
0:20
Wait a second…
Isn’t that Ben’s Greatsword?
Am I the only one that cringes a bit when they say, “William Wallace Sword.”
That’s not the real Wallace Sword they have there as an example. There is absolutely no way. That sword is a national treasure of Scotland & is housed in a bullet proof case in a museum & is only ever taken out for very rare reasons & is handled with clean white gloves.
When your parents ask why: 6:13
Make CAR LAZAR sword ooooo sorry you need diamonds 🤣⚡🤣
vegans have entered the chat
That was a great quench by James. Well thought out.
judges: the giant sword of William Wallis
Me: so Clamor no. 3
Dude that second quench was the worst thing I’ve ever seen. It was literally half way air cooled before he got there.
Bring back Wil.
William wallace didn’t actually use this on stirling bridge. It was too long for close combat, He usely used an axe and a dirk. He did use it in the battle of falkirk though.
is this the warrior that was 7 feets tall i thought his sword was 7 feet.
Problem with this show they made to long of a blade, is the real sword blade was only 39 inches.
So the sword is taller than me?
i love the “Why would you attack a battering ram with a sword? i dunno but we’re gonna do it anyway“
it’s pure self awareness and comedy, yeah this test is absurd, but we have to test something, and we’re going to have fun with it.
such genuine people i love this show.
What episode is this?
Only William wallis sword was nowhere near as big as that, Think abt it how practical would a big heavy sword like that would be on a battlefield, these 4ft and over Sword or two handed Swords as some call it didn’t really exist until later date, way after Scottish independence.
I like sword
