For generations of Americans, food titans like Henry Heinz, Milton Hershey, John and Will Kellogg, C.W. Post and the McDonald brothers have literally been household names, but you don’t know their stories. Before they were brand names, they were brilliant, sometimes ruthless, visionaries who revolutionized food and changed the landscape of America forever. This miniseries event will tell the fascinating stories of the people behind the food that built America – those who used brains, muscle, blood, sweat and tears to get to America’s heart through its stomach, and along the way built cities, invented new technologies and helped win wars.

I wish all documentaries were like this. Very entertaining while teaching
This series is awesome.
Imagine Guy Fieri gets interviewed in future eps
I want to know if you could add captions to ally your videos.
This is our favorite show! It’s the only one we never miss. It should be required viewing in schools, to show the struggles, the ingenuity, the determination of the trailblazers that built America. Kids could learn from this.
I’m 14 and my grandpa’s cousin I believe it was either my grandpa or my great grandpa’s cousin that designed the Pringle

W
stop cause the guy who played james kraft is so fine😭😭😭😭
In the Rush of yelling racism two white people this network and show now has many blacks speaking of the great achievements of white people. The whites are either racist or not so why are these blacks included on the show and on the History Channel One most of the great achievements were made by white people. Maybe one day this nation will see every person as an individual instead of their race
After watching the cookie wars, I think I want a Hydrox cookie instead of an Oreo cookie, now that I know that Nabisco was started by a bunch of thieves who cared more about making profits than making cookies, unlike the bakers they took the company from, who baked from the love of baking–and became Sunshine. So I’m officially boycotting all Nabisco products from here on out—Hello Sunshine!
Okay listen, I’m a middle schooler and this is one of my favorite shows. It’s a great recommendation for any historian or someone just wanting to know about some American culture.
I walk past the old Heinz plant everyday. It’s still impressive.
I love these series. I hope they do a music series one day called the music moguls who built America or something where they talk about people like Berry Gordy, Sam Phillips etc.
More like the food that made America fat lol. But with that said its very interesting to find the origins the food empires of America
Any idea when this will be available to watch in the UK
Did they mean ‘the foods that built obesity’?
Terrible acting mixed with vapid commentary by minorities… The rapper’s opinion of Kraft cheese was particularly worthless.
What is the song?
Need to find the name of the background music.thanks
What the song??!!
Battle of the burger.… My favorite!
I swear I’ve been hearing a lot of back ground music in season 2 that sounds a lot like it’s from the game battlefield 4
Love this show but it makes me hungry 🥺
can someone pls tell me the title of the background music?
There is a reason most of these docu style shows don’t let the re-enactors speak. Their lines and the “acting” are cringeworthy on this show.
One of the most interesting TV series of all time. I never get bored seeing any segment repeatedly .
Is the narrator the same person who does Dark 5 on You Tube? That show is amazing too!
what song is that?
You mean the Food that KILLED America 🥞🧇🍕🍟🌭🍔🫓🍞🥯🥨🍘🧁🥧🍫🍩🍪🎂🍬🍭🍾🍷🍻🍺🍹🥤🧋🍸🧃🥮 🤮
Best to eat mainly natural real food like 🥩🍗🧀🥑🥝🥦🥚🍶🧈🍳🥝🫐🍄🧅🥜🍅🍋🫚🦪🎣…
how is that song called?
I loved this show but unfortunately they have an expert who comments who is so annoying that I can’t watch this anymore.
How about the recipe and the invention of Hamburger Helper southwestern food history.
More accurate title :The Food that gave America diabetes.
