I don’t agree with my state’s roll­out plan in terms of putting nurs­ing home res­i­dents in the pri­or­i­ty. The employ­ees and fam­i­lies of these res­i­dents are the peo­ple who brought the virus in so I feel Health­care work­ers and the pub­lic vis­it­ing their loved ones should be ahead. I know not every­one will agree and there are so many things to con­sid­er. I was lucky to be vac­ci­nat­ed in Decem­ber due to my job and I took on extra work to staff our hos­pi­tals vac­cine clin­ic on the week­end. Aside from pay­ing extreme­ly well I have the oppor­tu­ni­ty to vac­ci­nate my com­mu­ni­ty who des­per­ate­ly want to get the vac­cine. My par­ents are wait­ing to be called for their turn and hope­ful­ly I’ll be able to get them in at the end of clin­ic day when we will have unused vac­cine. Kudos to all of you doing your part to keep safe and being con­sid­er­ate of those around you!
