iPhone buy­er here — but financed through car­ri­er. Can’t afford to drop $1000 on a phone. You are out of touch, man.

Tired of phones being so expen­sive because of all the cam­eras. Like, I just need one cam­era and it does­n’t have to be that top spec.

I do think tech review­ers get de-sen­si­tised to review­ing prod­ucts on a reg­u­lar basis, espe­cial­ly high end expen­sive stuff. They don’t bat an eye­lid to it. They become almost snobs to us mere mor­tals who have a lim­it­ed bud­get to buy stuff with.

When they do a review like above, they’re shocked and sur­prised that — yes — you can indeed buy a per­fect­ly good refur­bished device at an afford­able price, and it works! 

I’ve bought numer­ous lap­tops, phones and desk­top PCs over the years that were refurbs, and the specs are super at a dis­count­ed price. My machines have always looked pris­tine bar some micro­scop­ic scratch­es that you’d nev­er notice, but oth­er­wise works like a brand new machine. I’ve nev­er been hap­pi­er with them. 

But I do think there’s an essence of snob­bery from tech review­ers who are so used to review­ing Megabucks tech, that they for­get that cheap­er or old­er mod­els are just as accept­able for the aver­age per­son out there. 

Don’t be like Lew. Be your­self and stick with­in your bud­get xx 🙂

You have pur­chased depres­sion for 2 thou­sand dollars!

The iPhone is the rea­son that I always cal­i­brate my search­es for four stars Plus and arrange it by cus­tomer review first and then once I have mul­ti­ple options in my cart go back and com­pare indi­vid­ual prices ship­ping dates fea­tures and such forth

Also for unlocked 5G phones it would make sense that an Android flag­ship is in the top 10 list con­sid­er­ing that if peo­ple want to spend the mon­ey for the upgrade they’re going to do so for a phone that they won’t have to upgrade for years to come and they might have used some of the mon­ey from their stim­u­lus checks to pay for such extrav­a­gance slash used for years to come
