How Bad is a Refurbished iPhone…?

I could nev­er buy refur­bished just for bat­tery and such

my first phone was a renewed iphone se 1. it was a great phone besides the 32 gb ssd

I rec­om­mend you to buy iPhone 8 “Plus”, it has 3G ram that can sat­is­fy to run all the cur­rent apps and per­for­mance like new iPhone series.

I think I’ve had phones for a lit­tle over six years (I’m 16) and I’ve nev­er had a brand new one. In the next year I plan on buy­ing a 13 brand new for the first time. Right now I’m cur­rent­ly using the iPhone 8. Refur­bished phones are fine for the most part, there’s noth­ing super wrong with them, they’re sim­ply just not brand new for the most part.

I’m pret­ty sure the entire point of this video was to scru­ti­nize and bring to atten­tion every­thing that would be dif­fer­ent buy­ing a refurbished/used phone vs get­ting one brand new. Sure he’s rich and buy­ing a refur­bished phone from many years ago is entire­ly out of the ques­tion for some­one like him, but that’s not the point. The point is show­ing you what you get for your money.

I still use Apple iPhone 7 Plus 256 gb that I bought brand new on 2017

I just bought my daugh­ter A renewed iPhone 8. It was in per­fect con­di­tion and we haven’t had the first prob­lem with it. If you actu­al­ly look at what you’re buy­ing you’ll be less like­ly to be dis­ap­point­ed. Those phones come in all con­di­tions so you have to choose what con­di­tion you want to buy and how much mem­o­ry you want. I spent the extra few $$ for a phone in excel­lent con­di­tion & plen­ty of mem­o­ry. There was­n’t a scratch on it when it arrived, the bat­tery is at 96% and it has 256 gb of mem­o­ry. I spent $175 bucks and I could­n’t be hap­pi­er. If the bat­tery had been an issue I would have just replaced the bat­tery. You can buy a new one for $20. A lit­tle research and actu­al­ly read­ing the list­ing goes a long way and saves a lot of headaches in the long run.

my “refur­bished” iPhone 6s only had a screen replace­ment done. came with no sim card tray, and the bat­tery was ter­ri­bly worn out. I final­ly got sick of plug­ging my phone in every 30 min­utes and a replace­ment bat­tery is on the way and comes tomor­row. Hon­est­ly I real­ly love my iPhone 6s, I just wish this “refur­bished” was actu­al­ly refur­bished instead of hav­ing a new screen put on and call­ing it a day.

I think it’s hit or miss because I feel like they have dif­fer­ent peo­ple check­ing the qual­i­ty and repair­ing and clean­ing my iPhone 12 was flaw­less except the bat­tery is at 90

I have one that’s unlocked. It an sec­ondary iPhone i use for inter­na­tion­al sims cards when I trav­el. My Ver­i­zon Iphone brand new, but it’s locked and will be for 3 years. Ver­i­zon inter­na­tion­al cov­er­age expen­sive, and not worth it.

Ok but not every­one can afford brand-new phones, this video is so out of touch with reality.

I had that expe­ri­ence with ebay. I had want­ed a lumia 1020 just to see the hype around the cam­era. The phone worked at first then fell apart. Lack of update to win­dows 10 frus­trat­ed but using the cam­era when it worked was cool.

This iPhone 8 in this video was 3 years at the time , they way he described it at the start made it out to be a 90s phone

Is refur­bished already changed parts. Its good in gaming???

I bought 5 iPhone 4S refur­bished phones 2014–2018 4 of them still work­ing. Great for read­ing ebooks 

I bought 1 iPhone 5S 2018. It died in 2021

I bought 1 iPhone 8 2021, now it has prob­lems charg­ing but still works till now 

I bought 1. iPhone 12 Mini two weeks ago. It works great
