Are you the type of person to wear audio glasses? Let us know!
the arm as you call it is called a temple
My Bose Frames are just ok for music, I use them for audiobooks and podcasts.
This would be something my Mom would use.
Not a big fan… I like the host’s Fleetwood Mac style.
Hey WALL‑E !! 🙂
Never though this was a thing in reality.
Too bad you didn’t compare the Razer Anzu sunglasses.
Great job reviewing these products. I have been on the fence. I think I am going to avoid buying any of them. I can easily live without them, and still hear what I want with no compromise in any department. Thank you. Your review saved me money on a product that would not greatly have a positive impact in my life.
above all else it is just rude to have your music going without buds not everyone wants to hear it
The Bose headphone glasses are incredible, built for giving you a sound track whilst enjoying the outdoors. Phone calls are really clear for the other line.
The synchronisation of having music playing and your ears open is a strange yet pleasant experience.
The look great
Sound great
Phone calls great
Dolby atmos music is even better and watching movies in fun in this, just be somewhere quiet
What about recording audio?
Love the fairness with which you cover this…
I need a pair that will allow me to:
add in my prescription lens,
Lens must show clear when inside a building and dim when outdoors,
Glasses Stay on when running, hiking, or any type of high intensity training,
And connect to Galaxy or Apple watch.
Wait, when did Zoey Deschanel join CNET?
I love my Bose. I love taking calls with my prescription lenses on all the time. Also, listening to podcasts, audiobooks and sometimes music is a pleasure instead of having ear buds jammed in my ears
Ashley 🥰
why do you wear a mask outdoors?
Very very thorough! Thank you!!
with my blurry eyes im looking at all you blind people.. why dont we ALL have a pair of these things for just daily convenient use?
While I dont understand the hype for sunglasses styles, the ones meant as eyeglasses have promise
I would like such an invention for riding in my 43 yr old convertible.
I didn’t have to get a app for my bose to set them up and connect them to my phone
I’ve worn Bose Frames with Prescription Transition lenses for two years as my all day/everyday glasses.
Daily wear glasses with my prescription, transition lenses for outdoor use, podcasts and audiobooks whenever and wherever I want, answer a call anywhere at any time without fumbling out my phone or earbuds, all in one device. The only real let-down for me with these was that the ambient sound is too loud to use in my office environment, as co-workers can hear the faint sound of whatever I’m listening to. I’m not an audiophile so the music quality in these is fine. Honestly, unless you’re paying hundreds of dollars for massive all-enveloping audiophile headphones, pretty much anything you use is going to be compromised in some way.
I’m picking up my new Amazon Frames from the Optometrist today with m prescription lenses installed, can’t wait for something lighter and smaller. Tried the Razor Anzu and they just aren;t ready for mainstream — too many poorly thought out features and they just don’t work as well.
As for cost, have you looked at the cost of a pair of regular eye-glass frames recently? These are right in the middle of the eye-glass frame price range.
Genuinely surprised more people don’t recognise the massive potential of these. 60% of the worlds adult population wear prescription glasses, so as soon as you realise you can slap proper lenses in any of these devices, the potential market is huge.
I don’t think I would ever go back to regular non-smart glasses at this point. I’m always wearing glasses on my face anyway so why the heck wouldn’t I want extra features crammed into them?
Why do so many comparison videos neglect the Soundcore Frames by Anker? I really enjoy them, and you can buy one of 10 different frame styles and just attach the speaker arms to the new frames, without having to shell out $200.00 to change the style. The sound clarity is excellent, but the volume could be better, and they have no bass. I wear them at work, where I need to be able to hear co-workers. Thanks for the review, but I really wanted to know how Razer stacked up against Soundcore.
You forgot the best pair, Soundcore by Anker.
Just bought bose tempo, pretty nice sound, no antifog. Lenses pretty dark bought extra lenses, going to buy the photochromatic lenses from revant n return the extra polarized lenses i bought. Wish charging port had rubber cover. Wish also these were water resistant. Setup was like 4 minutes. Wish these had find feature AND camera function. Ohh i didnt want buds in my ears as i dont like blocking surrounding noise in both ears. I have quiet comfort headphones with bluetooth module jacked into them and velcroed on one side of phones, yes i had bluetooth bose before bose had bluetooth. I like these glasses.
You literally don’t need the app on Bose. You can just charge them and connect on bluetooth. I own a pair, they push the app on you but its absolutely not a requirement.
Hum..
You are aweasome
Odd, I was able to connect to Bose via blue tooth in settings without downloading an app.
None of these glasses have any Bass and no online reviewer has the gits to say it. It’s Frustrating
Excellent. Very helpful. Thank you.
Is there any that the sound can’t be hear outside?
I like the new Lucyds V2 as I’m on prescription. The audio and battery is significantly upgraded. Lasts all day. When I cycle, I can hear my surroundings. When I’m at the office I need to be able to hear when someone calls me. So a podcast or Lofi music works.
Nice video, good info. What I find amusing about people that review glasses is when they refer to temples as legs or arms when describing them.
another cnet presenter who feels it necessary to wave their hands in the air whilst talking about stuff.
I wish you had focused on the ones ‘people would actually buy, the ones under 50 dollars from Lenovo and Xiaomi.
