Artemis I: NASA’s Plans to Travel Beyond the Moon
[vid_tags]
Artemis 1 will be the first integrated test of NASA’s deep space exploration systems: the Orion spacecraft, Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and the ground systems at Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The first in a series of increasingly complex missions, Artemis I will be an uncrewed flight test that will provide a foundation for human deep space exploration, and demonstrate our commitment and capability to extend human existence to the Moon and beyond.
During this flight, the spacecraft will launch on the most powerful rocket in the world and fly farther than any spacecraft built for humans has ever flown. It will travel 280,000 miles from Earth, thousands of miles beyond the Moon over the course of about a three-week mission. Orion will stay in space longer than any ship for astronauts has done without docking to a space station and return home faster and hotter than ever before.
With this first exploration mission, NASA is leading the next steps of human exploration into deep space where astronauts will build and begin testing the systems near the Moon needed for lunar surface missions and exploration to other destinations farther from Earth, including Mars.

Vamos a estar esperando porque primero Elon Musk Envia un hombre a Marte antes que este viejo cohete recorra la superficie lunar
❤️
0:42 guy here says it’s not nasa but America doing it , also forgets several nationalities that work at nasa who might not be Americans 🙄
If NASA had technology to make man step on Moon in year 1969 itself why it took 50+ years to send second mission.
NASA: First mission was part of April Fool.….
Yo you guys mind if you take a copy of half life 2 up there
Nasa lose human moon landing tech during kodak studio decayed 😉
I love my country, because even when we get it wrong we usually correct where we are headed. The investments in space should have improved when we went to the moon, but they only seemed to have decreased. I heard (not sure if it’s true) it costs each taxpayer around 1 dollar to fund nasa, with the stuff they have been responsible for injecting back into the country is huge in impact. We should fund them more especially with space x having a domestic rocket supply.
man i hope kerbal space program releases soon while were still waiting for starfield
Hi guys yes we’re going back to the moon 🌝 to stay this time David ❤️🙏🚀🇬🇧👍
I’m looking forward to some 4K documentaries filmed on the Lunar surface.
0:17 Are you sure about that?
I’m pretty sure starship is more powerful.
It’s not really going to the moon… this unmanned spacecraft was only traveling to the lunar orbit
Good overview of the mission.
Hahah moon landing debunkers heads are going to explode hahahahahaga
Going to be fun to watch
gang gang son
This is supposed to excite? We have landed rovers on mars and traveling 30000 miles past the moon is impressive? Really? WTF is going on here? Is this some kind of sick joke. Why are they not landing a rover on the surface?
After 29th
Hasn’t technology progressed in 60 years, because this looks like Saturn V 2.0
hope it blows up and falls on a flat earther
@0:35 “Artemis will send Orion around the moon, 280k miles, the further than any human spacecraft has ever flown..”
uuummmm.. Voyager 1?
Would it be possible to use a much smaller and lighter craft and float it above the stratosphere and out of the earths atmosphere and into the exosphere using a super massive f*%k‑off hydrogen balloon system?🧐
These quick info video,s are so fast to get dizzy of it , to be falling off the record. Did NASA lost the contact with the common men ? The music is a attemt to please some spoiled kids , its disturbing .
Grandpa NASA will never retire… Will never give up on the Grand kids.🌎💕🌌
Scrubbed Lanch System 🤣🤣🤣
They can’t even get this pos off the pad.
Hi My Faith Is Thank You i Trust in Your EXserince TO Guide my two kids and myself .need up date feedzback whoswho me son life line.
27thseptember
Not
Far
At this rate they wont be going anywhere.…If i was an astronaut going on the next flight id throw a sick note in.
Just imagine if NASA still has it’s budget from the 1960–1970s
I love ❤❤❤❤❤❤ this thank you nasa sooooooooooooooo much I love space sooo much
It just launched!!!
Tell them to send offline snapchat with date/time this time.
Finally, 🙏
Sounds like NASA is parting away from SpaceX.
@NASA when will the next manned mission
Just watched the launch! After a few delays, it went well.
Farther than any human spacecraft has ever flown? Ever heard of Voyager? I’m sorry that’s just too funny.
At 38 sec. did she just say this space craft will fly 280,000 miles, that further than any human space craft has flown. Correct me if I misunderstood.
I dont know why but when it comes to space it feels like I dont mind who will go first china or india or russia or usa I just want it to see in my lifetime what is in mars and what is behind the moon. So excited.
There are companies all across America that have a part in this, so there is this wave of this excitement being generated. Yes, that excitement is the juicy rich contracts bringing in $$$$ hand over fist. Lockheed Martin is rubbing their collective hands with another F‑35 aircraft venture.
Not sure where Artemis is going at 280,000 miles since the moon is only 238,000 miles away…
Hello from January 2023, and still no humans on the moon. Frauds!
earth 2
JESUS ESTÁ VOLTANDO 🙏🙏
All a waste of money — the entire program is being dumped and Space X is going to do the missions now, at a fraction of the cost, and are actually successful at putting humans in space not just metal.
