LOL
Awsome
Sparta!!!!! 😁😁
One was meh
I thought the spartans were in the middle of a religious holiday during the battle of Marathon? Why they use a vid of Spartans when speaking about Athenians?
Where’d you get the phrase “rod, line and sinker” ?
It’s hook, line and sinker.
You should’ve added what the runner said when he ran 20 miles from the battle of marathon to deliver the message on how the battle went.
He said NIKE which means victory.
People watch how many countries England has invaded visualised. The British empire was the biggest empire in history and 65 countries celebrate independence from Britain every year. Britain still have colonies all over the world.
How about when Gideon defeated a massive army with only 300 men with only smashing water pots and torches
You seem to have mistaken “Biggest Gamble” with “Inability to Admit Defeat” in a couple of those (Ceasar crossing the Rubicon for instance). Good video all the same though, well done!
Everyone stop watching this BS
Please 🙏
What about D‑Day?
You should go through the stories of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj
Great video !
Inspired by thoughty2’s video yesterday or just coincidence?
Miltiades wasn’t a king, Jesus history channel. You have one job.. history! Not reality tv..
Caesar’s story was what I liked the most.
Im surprised no Hannibal in this video.
Where’s George Washington crossing the Delaware and Henry Knox trip to get guns from Ticonderoga.
Nice work 🌠🎇🎆
BCE? This is supposed to be history. BC
Interesting and worthwhile video.
I have never founded out where the Rubicon is? We always have that to cross.
To know the USSR won the WW2 nit Allies.
NO Guts!!! No Glory!!! and Fortune favors the Bold.
you skipped the american revolution
The Falkland Islands campaign was hardly a gamble. There was no way Argentina could have expected to win that, and they knew it. It was nothing more than hot-blooded Latin hubris going up against ice cold British professionalism.
I like it bro
Keep it up!
Natedog love it
For a channel that calls itself History, it surprisingly fails on several aspects.
First: Using BCE and CE. Actually the correct term to use is BC and AD. BCE and CE are only used for scientific purposes, anything history related IS BC and AD.
Second: 4:33 Julius Caesar becoming the first dictator? HA! Failed script right there. Rome had dictators centuries before Caesar’s time.
This is a terrible video, not worthy of having been posted on The History Channel.
Only a few of the images shown were relevant, never mind period accurate. The “factoid” method was at best inaccurate, but often just plain wrong. Far too little time was spent on describing these events, and the analysis was even more lackadaisical.
The History Channel should be embarrassed by this video. It’s stupid banal click-bait. Indeed, it’s typical of many poorly produced youtube channels, NOT what I expect from The History Channel.
The History Channel has produced good material in the past (see what I did there?) but if this is the direction they choose to move toward, I’m afraid they’re loosing credibility rather rapidly.
You didn’t Mention D day The Allied invasion of France. This was the biggest gamble in modern history, and nearly failed at that! If Hitler hadn’t been addicted to drugs and was such a fool that he wouldn’t allow his Generals to respond with the tank divisions stationed in Normandy for just such a move we might be speaking German today! Thank god for his doctor who was drugging Hitler for the years of his conquest in Europe made the invasion a reality.
