33:49 song?
That first fighter pilot is the most American sounding old timer I’ve ever heard. Boy, did he love flying that plane.
The old school dogfights series is the best! I prefer to see these in the Air than you know, Aliens…
WOW.….talk about coming in on a Wing & A Prayer.….
“his i mission is to find and kill migs” No swear Right?!
I’m surprised those North Korean jet’s could even get off the runaway.
Does anybody make a model of the f‑86 in this paint scheme
Dogfights! Finally! Experience the battle! Dissect the tactics! Relive the Dogfights!. Whoever’s decision it was to start uploading these is a legend.
What an amazing set of battles!
The americans never lost an air combat?
What I got most out of this episode is where “head honcho” comes from

Bueno, Risner era bueno, pero lejos de ser un caballero del aire.… Una pena…
Rest In Peace Joe Logan
December 1950… Geez 😮
There is a memoir by an RAF pilot called “by the skin of my teeth” by Colin Downes. He was in ww2 and was also flying sabers with USAF in Korea. Its really good
Joe Logan will be remembered
My childhood.
The narrator at the end says that dogfights with today’s technology are now a thing of the past. That missiles can knock planes out of the sky from miles away. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? And is it really true. For some reason I think dogfights can & will still occur.
Is it really a “kill” when the guy parachutes to safety and lives to fight another day?
Back when the History channel was worth watching
They forgot to mention that the idea for the all moving tail was taken from the bell X‑1 (the first ever supersonic aircraft) the all moving tail is a necessity on all supersonic aircraft as a regular tail freezes up at high speeds and you’re unable to control your pitch. While the Sabre can’t go supersonic it can control itself at much higher speeds where the MiG-15’s controls would freeze up.
North Korean Bass Terds.
The fact that mig pilot put up such a fight with his canopy blown off is unbelievable not to mention his wingmen took off leaving him to deal with the sabres on his own. What a pilot.
My dad was retired Air Force and served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He would have absolutely loved watching all these classic 90s History Channel shows.
“LaSay noses his plane over to the right, the perfect angle for a sidewinder shot.”
God bless COL Parr
One of the best true stories of our,
F86 Saber jets in the sky s of Korea! Thank you!
20:00 honcho led him into just that there playground riverbed they buck each other up running as much before combat as they could.i bet that dude practiced that tactic just for this scenario.
Didn’t work.LOL😅
I cant help but wonder the dog fight 9–15 1952 the Russian Mig was damaged by the pilot the remaining 3 Migs bugged out after there counter part’s mig was damaged by the pilot and the damaged mig was desperately trying to bug out and was also no longer a threat to the bombers. So I can’t help but wonder if the Pilots wing man would have lived instead of drowning in the ocean had the pursuing Pilot had just let the damaged mig go and returned back to the bombers that they were there to provide protection for
No phones in sight just people in the moment
19:35: Hey! This was in the simulations after all!
Love it!!! As a child I watched F4 Phantoms take off from the flight line at Yuma MCAS. Great stuff!!!
I’ve heard the bf109s could turn much sharper and maneuver better
