Born in Hon­olu­lu, Hawaii, NASA Astro­naut Megan McArthur is cur­rent­ly assigned as Pilot of the NASA SpaceX Crew‑2 mis­sion to the Inter­na­tion­al Space Station. 

Her pre­vi­ous space­flight expe­ri­ence includes STS-125 for the ser­vic­ing of the Hub­ble Space Tele­scope. McArthur worked as the flight engi­neer and robot­ic arm oper­a­tor. She care­ful­ly retrieved the Hub­ble Space tele­scope and placed it in the shuttle’s car­go bay. The STS-125 mis­sion was accom­plished in 12 days, 21 hours, 37 min­utes and 9 sec­onds, trav­el­ing 5,276,000 miles in 197 Earth orbits.
