What Is the Habitable Zone?
[vid_tags]
There’s a helpful concept we use to help understand what distance from a given star you might expect to find planets with liquid water on their surface – liquid water being essential for life as we know it. It’s called the habitable zone. Every star has a habitable zone, but where that zone lies is different for stars of different sizes and brightness.

Oh man, this is insane, imagine being an alien on Proxima B and trying to find us
We only have about a Billion years left baring asteroids hitting us.
WOW
:l
😎
I think mars and venus would be a good thing habitable for living human there .
I wonder if there is a Goldilocks zone for light emissions. That is, the zone that is most conducive for life, as emitted by a Star upon a planet in its solar system. Such a range might be helpful in determining which planets are hospitable for life, making some more important, eliminating others. A light frequency Goldilocks zone would be another factor which could be considered in the search for lifeforms on other planets than our own. Light frequency, along with distance, could be taken into account. If the frequency of the light was too high, life might be obliterated when attempting to absorb it. Too low, and the light might not convey enough energy to allow life to thrive. Within a Goldilocks light frequency zone, life might flourish.
Goldilocks zone not to hot not to cold just right
M class planet minshira
It’s very interessing theory. I’ll asleep l’ESS stupide than usual. Thank you and see you late m’y friends the scientists.…
Et pourquoi la référence serait notre planète pour avoir de la vie. On a aucune comparaison pour affirmer qu’il faut de l’eau absolument pour ça. La vie a très bien pu se créer avec d’autres conditions.
Bet there is a Habitable Zone between Jupiter and its moons.
Why does this feel like propaganda?

the habitable zone is also called goldylocks zone
What a cute animation 😂
Saturn isn’t 5th planet.
How is defined the area of the habitable zone?
Meine Lehrerin hat mich hierhin geschickt 😢😢😢
One day HUGE arrays of kites set to planetary counter-rotating winds might be able to slow down the spin of the planet enough to guide it into the “habitable zone”. These winds are a form of solar power to be utilized to make near life-sustaining planets suitable for human habitation. Possible?
Waw Earth is a lucky planet right in the middle
You’re not taking in magnetic fields, or the type of star!
Planets inside habitable zone are habitable right? But they’re not? Lol
By the way, there is no life
I agree with the habitable zone idea. But how do we know there are entities living in other solar systems what don’t use water? Just because we need it, doesn’t necessarily say other beings do
It’s not just the star itself holding the habitable zone, the planets have their own individual habitable zone. For example, Venus has its habitable zone now between ceres and Jupiter, while mars has it much closer to the sun.
