Last week Apple announced iOS 15 and with it some new changes that opened up Facetime to Android. And that got me thinking, Will iMessage also come to Android?

#iMessage #Android
The way he talks is like this was 2007…
Line, kakao, whatsapp, messenger, hangouts, etc it has been for so long that it just comes and go…
There is no particular reason for them to open imessage… SPECIALLY on a subscription base. I mean… Does Android authority doesn’t know how Android users work anymore? Subscription apps are a main thing for Apple, but for Android, only “core” applications would be acceptable, like streaming… If you can use WhatsApp, why the hell you would pay for a chat message, specially when it is free on Apple… Hell… Make Apple users use WhatsApp… Both ends are free…
No… The reason why Apple is opening FaceTime is because people who work with Mac, iPads, iPhones, would have to get zoom… But Android and other PCs wouldn’t be able to get FaceTime… So it’s easier to make Apple users to use zoom as default, rather than not being able to connect everybody. So they are trying not to lose a battle here. Messaging on the other hand can be done by multiple platforms… So it’s not Apple concern at this moment.
What’s with this iMessage for Android? Who needs it?
Big deal.
I wouldn’t use anything Apple.
Period.
Nope never going to use iMessage for I don’t like apple products and there are better messaging apps like you have mentioned.
Asking this question in the first place is asinine.

You wanna know why imessage will never come to android.…. because the second the do I’ll never buy their phones again. And they know that.
If it ever happens I’m switching to android and never looking back…
iMessage is literally the only thing keeping me on an iPhone. I far prefer Android phones but all my group chats and 95% of the people I text have iPhones and use iMessage. If I could switch them to Telegram or something, that would be great. If Apple did an iMessage Lite for Android (basic functions minus the fancy effects and store) or even a subscription model (say $5 a month), I’d be all on board.
i wouldn’t put it pass me if there’s some hacker out there that already has iMessage install on their Android device.
I wouldn’t mind having it. But not as a subscription cost
If an android user wants FaceTime and iMessage just buy an iPhone
Android and or Samsung needs to flip the script on Apple and develop their own end2end native messaging app. They can do purple bubbles for Android to Android messages and regular green bubbles when you’re talking cross ecosystem.
They are not threatened at all by those apps
😳😯👍
are you talking Like that BlaBlaBlaaa
I stuck with Apple for a minute just for imessage , but I got so tired and bored with the phone . Literally the same thing every release. I upgraded to the s22 ultra and I love it!
Hmm. If Apple believes that opening up iMessage will cause them to lose users, then Apple has no right to make fun of Android. If iPhone users want to switch to Android, and only keep using iPhones due to lock-ins, then iPhones don’t deserve the respect they have.
Well, maybe iMessage will come to Android with the European Union’s Digital Markets Act.
