4:15 I don’t mind the cartoony look because honestly, I’m tired of having to get ready every morning to look decent just for a 30 min — 1 hour Zoom meeting. Plus you have name tags above the user’s head to know who’s who. 🙂
can the futuristic metaverse create an inception like situation where you forget what reality is. Or am I just overthinking
I’m sure a lot of businesses will be afraid to have confidential conversations in Facebook’s workroom.
Ask fb to lounch quest 2 in India offically
I think if VR possibilities like this one more closer to day to day life then I see big future
God this is all so bad
Wow, this video review reeks of “paid-off”.
Vrchat?
You actually can also use a Vive headset. This boomer is lying that you need an oculus.
Metaverse aka “META” no Thank you.
Kadir çöpdemir sandım
“Beamed in” why you gotta use Alien terms bro.
There are vr games (Half life alyx,No mans sky, etc.) who have much better graphics then this or any other meta project whitch are basiclly new and should be at least at that level, i wonder why. Could someone explain this?
This sucks
i woild spend more time creating jobs as opposed to tools for people who already work…
I feel so tired for my eyes when wearing this virtual reality glasses. so i think we need a technology to change our rooms with 3D images from a laser light, no need to wear this glasses.
Over the Horizon
Do you think that Facebook would bring this into the classroom?
Jesus loves you
I’m wondering to use it as a classroom for private school support, helping people with mathematic for exemple with social distance’s problems
I could see this completely replacing in-person education, as anything that can be done in real life could be done in VR
So I get to use a computer to look at my computer when looking at computer avatars of people. And I have to scan my desk, flip around controllers, and etc. to make work.
I had a meeting on a 2D 8‑bit virtual workspace, and getting people who’ve never gamed before to understand something as simple as using WASD to move was complex enough. I can only imagine the headache of trying to explain in VR how to flip your controller around to wrote on the whiteboard.
Frankly it looks like an awful gimmick that requires a massive investment in VR gear for an arguably “improved” Microsoft Teams meeting. Sounds like a bad business choice.
Hey Mark start speaking from your balls instead of your inner vulva.
Yeah you can’t get real actual work done by VR. Stop with the false advertising CNET, this is only for those minority white collar jobs. Those roads aren’t going to build themselves in VR
In reality it’s just me sitting in an empty room because I’m the only one in the office with a VR headset.
yawn
Put a face filter on avatar done
Too bad for eyes
I love that I can’t tell the difference between Mark and his avatar, and not because the avatars are very lifelike.…
I am trying to teach English on the Internet, so I am looking for a (virtual) classroom where I can do my teaching there. This maybe one of the platforms that I have been looking for. Looking forward to.
Okay but where do I apply?
What adult wants to conduct meetings with cartoony avatars?? Who thought this was a good idea
Those graphics are pretty terrible. Isn’t Facebook dumping an enormous amount of money into this project?
by “VR” he means Chinese Military mainframes stealing your companies secrets/tech
Facebook engineers: ~Couldn’t finish implementing legs~
Facebook: ~feature~
Must have real face not avatar ps2 graphics to get this working in business
I think this is an excellent tool for our conferences!
So the Metaverse is just becoming a videogame version of a zoom meeting
JUNK!Horizon Worlds overall is junk a glitch fest. And I can’t believe people even pay to have worlds built just to have them glitch and damage.
Yeah.… a screen cast into VR space.…. I don’t think that’s gonna work. For simple document work with LOTS of zoom in, yeah sure. But for more complicate thing like working on 3D model, working in a 3D game engine with lots and lots of small text and UI element? I don’t see that happening especially in Quest 2 screen resolution. And of course the latency, it’s very hard and you lost a lot of productivity if there’s a lot of screen latency when working in that kind of 3D work.
I think if this actually happens I’d need to change career. I couldn’t spend all day in a virtual world at a virtual desk.
