I feel so tired for my eyes when wear­ing this vir­tu­al real­i­ty glass­es. so i think we need a tech­nol­o­gy to change our rooms with 3D images from a laser light, no need to wear this glasses.

Do you think that Face­book would bring this into the classroom?

I’m won­der­ing to use it as a class­room for pri­vate school sup­port, help­ing peo­ple with math­e­mat­ic for exem­ple with social dis­tance’s problems

So I get to use a com­put­er to look at my com­put­er when look­ing at com­put­er avatars of peo­ple. And I have to scan my desk, flip around con­trollers, and etc. to make work.

I had a meet­ing on a 2D 8‑bit vir­tu­al work­space, and get­ting peo­ple who’ve nev­er gamed before to under­stand some­thing as sim­ple as using WASD to move was com­plex enough. I can only imag­ine the headache of try­ing to explain in VR how to flip your con­troller around to wrote on the whiteboard.

Frankly it looks like an awful gim­mick that requires a mas­sive invest­ment in VR gear for an arguably “improved” Microsoft Teams meet­ing. Sounds like a bad busi­ness choice.

Yeah you can’t get real actu­al work done by VR. Stop with the false adver­tis­ing CNET, this is only for those minor­i­ty white col­lar jobs. Those roads aren’t going to build them­selves in VR

So the Meta­verse is just becom­ing a videogame ver­sion of a zoom meeting

Yeah.… a screen cast into VR space.…. I don’t think that’s gonna work. For sim­ple doc­u­ment work with LOTS of zoom in, yeah sure. But for more com­pli­cate thing like work­ing on 3D mod­el, work­ing in a 3D game engine with lots and lots of small text and UI ele­ment? I don’t see that hap­pen­ing espe­cial­ly in Quest 2 screen res­o­lu­tion. And of course the laten­cy, it’s very hard and you lost a lot of pro­duc­tiv­i­ty if there’s a lot of screen laten­cy when work­ing in that kind of 3D work.
