I really enjoy watching all of your WW2 Programs as myself being a big fan of WW2 and it’s History and I myself have an extensive library of books and historical DVDs as well👍.
Use that pointer
And a great ballroom dancer hoo ha
I don’t get it. How did aliens fit into this?
47 Japanese ships sunk in one day ! Now that’s a payback! But what’s still to come will end their plans to take what they thought would be achievable !
These guys were just amazing.
The dive bombers were the real “zero killers.”
Stalling maybe, but losing control, I doubt it. Stalls are easy to recover from and I doubt it put these pilots into a spin. They just had to pull out of the climb which gave the zero the height and speed advantage.
Oh, its a cartoon! That’s about all the History channel is capable of these days. So sad.

And Here I Thought I Was Always B17 Guy … But THIS, This Chubby Little Wonder, Pulls At My Heart Strings !
F6F Hellcat………The Zero Killer!
Comparing sitting in the hellcat to his mother’s lap, REALLY!!!! Robert Duncan must have been a real goofball!!!
Badassery.
The F6F was built for one purpose, kill A6M’s.
Why is there no sound
In the book, The Pacific, the pilot describes the Captain of the Carrier being so disenchanted with the Wildcats that when he got some of the Hellcats in he ordered all the Wldcats pushed over the side of the carrier.
I would’ve guess that the engine was made by Pratt and Whitney. lol.
My dad flew Hellcats in the pacific.
My dad flew from the Yorktown at wake island.
We owe so much to these daring pilots and their support crews.
I am always amazed that the Japanese people went from a closed-off, feudal society to producing the Zero and the likes of the battleship Yamamoto in barely a century.
This is disturbing
that’s why duck hunters were pilots, knew how to lead the target.
” if i had been in that wildcat, i would have been shot down”„„but„„” I’d have been too smart to do that”„- as he smirks „ 😏🇺🇸 ‘Merica!❤
Loved every second of this recreation, especially so because my father was a Grumman employee, originally leading a construction team putting together wing sections for the F8F Bearcat.
Só queria achar dublado
What do you think the last thing the Japanese pilot thought
I used to like History Channel shows, but the days of big budget midiocre docudramas is so over.
Man, these didnt age well
History Channel At It’s Best 😃
The F6F hellcat was started to be designed in 1938. It was accepted by the military in June 1941, 6+ months before Pearl Harbor. The F6F was initially going to use a 1700 hp engine, but eventually got the 2000 hp Double Wasp.
Sure did a lot of shooting for just a capacity of just 2400 rounds.…
Mac McWorter is a legend!
He is so humble!
thank you hellcat
Pretty dumb analysis. After capturing a zero the US figured out its deficiencies. A Wildcat could have beaten a zero using better tactics.
The greatest generation, on both sides.
Got to meet Duncan in the 90s. Was just with Les Gray, Hellcat ace, in October 2023 for a couple of days. Sadly, he passed a couple months later at 102.
i can afford it but i’ll end up in the hospital
When America was a country to be proud of.
Amazing channel, I’m hooked! Thanks for the great work!😊
The whole leading your target is simple if you’ve ever been a hunter.
Especially if you hunt birds.
THESE PILOTS ARE AMERICAN HEROES…THEY DESERVE A SPECIAL MEDAL ONLY TO THEM WHO DID THESE HEROIC DEEDS…THESE PEOPLE WENT IN TO DOG FIGHT THE ENEMY KNOWING THEIR LIFE WOULD BE ENDED…WE NEED TO RESPECT THESE AWESOME INDIVIDUALS.
21:53 bruh was not playing😂
These are men of honor and incredible bravery that put country ahead of all else, unlike what we see today. We must not forget their service to our country and the task of ridding the world of fascism.
If communication gear was unreliable how good was any of the radar?
The Hellcat , SBD Dauntless and the Wildcat are the true gladiator’s of the Navy; the Corsair operations in carrier was the 15% of total in WW2
