This phone was awful. It was heavy as a brick. The 32gb was only for pics, songs and other files (I had a better mp3 player so I never used more than 1 gb). You could only have about 3 games installed at the same time. It was slow as fack, the touch screen was the worst I ever had and the gyroscope/accelerometer were as bad as the rest. It costed as much as a good Iphone 3G. It made me switch to Apple.
I think the only things flawed with this phone were the damn resistive touch screen and the scrumy old Symbian OS, if it came at least with Capacitive + Belle, this phone would have made sense..
Loved this phone. 32gb was a luxury at the time, had a perfectly working nes / mega drive emulator which was great to use on the keyboard and the built in FM transmitter was a bonus. Truly a great phone, shame mine fell to bits.
Guy sounds so boring that I had to play this video while I was trying to sleep…
GSM you let me down
What about flashback iphone 4?
I had this phone. Never had Nokia before that, never will after it. It worked for about 6 months and then started to lag due to low memory. Making a simple call took about a minute I remember. What a complete failure. I could not remember a simple good thing about it!
They killed Them selves! What a disgrace! Hybrice money greed cheating consumers with outdated software! I Clay gigant! Example! Should have Been put behind bars! Those arrogant so Called executive self proclaimed high and mighty! Just fluff! And we! Consumers had to suffer unneccecary! Thanks a lot!
Excellent, fun and informative video. More of these👍
Symbian was difficult to develop for, and applications were mostly written with serious intentions, by real programmers. Android and iOS unleashed an era of useless applications which counted in volume. This gave them time to develop, and we have now a miniature Linux system with lots of code, even to do simple things. Why can’t you remember the horrific battery life on the initial Android and iOS devices, the numerous software updates at a time when 3G was costly? Sure, Nokia just couldn’t see the future as we do today, but it’s not their fault. Internet was used for meaningful purposes and data used to be valuable, not to be spent on useless things, like being always online. The biggest mistake however that they made was embracing Windows based OS over Maemo, which could have been a worthy upgrade.
does the touch pen work on modern phones
Ia just say 1 thing the camera of this mobile is .superb very superb
Few wrong moves and an absolute giant like Nokia that dominated the industry for 20 years can go poof. No one is safe and nothing lasts forever.
I miss that phone
They released the N900 that had the same specs as the 3GS also the N900 can do stuff better than even the newest ultra meg giga iphone and android phones of today. Maemo OS was the best thing ever but they sadly didn’t keep improving it and ditched it which ultimately lead them to oblivion.
If you’re lucky you make the mistake of buying a cheap Nokia such as the Nokia 5 instead of a flagship Nokia!😂😂
The n97 camera was fucking god tier at the time
I had this phone when I was 9. it was the coolest phone ive ever had.
One day the system broke itself and it didnt turn on anymore 🙁

This may sound funny, I switched from Symbian to Android after watching my brother playing Angry Birds at that time the graphics on my brother’s Galaxy Neo looked so good compared to my Nokia Symbian, and then I switched to Sony Ericsson Live With Walkman. The graphics are 10x better than my old Nokia Symbian (i forgot t the number)
“Friendly Fire”
I feel Nokia didn’t listen to customer’s wants and needs.
tbh symbian killed Nokia.
And at the moment apple is living in the past gradually like apple did.
New phone brands might knock it off pretty soon… Very soon.
Can’t forget my Nokia 6600 went hell from me, left from a washer, fell in a pail of water, and was thrown during my worst/moody days. Still, it’s working. My nonna gave me N97. After years both of them are still working.
Lmfao the title had me laughed the crap out of my pijamas =))))))))))))))))))))))
I remember having to choose between this abomination and the Galaxy S1 as a kid, I’m glad I went with the Galaxy lol although at the time the Google “Marketplace” store had only a handful of apps.
I love N series mobiles i wanted it but couldn’t afford at that moment. My incomplete dream. 😪
more of this
The worst Nokia phone ever made. 32GB memory, I remember when installing apps. ‘Out memory’ errors. There was ample storage. I could not even give the phone away. I recycled it. Then got an iPhone.
I love Nokia. I wish they adopted Android by 2008. They should have kept Symbian phone and an android phone and sell together to see their numbers.
Plus Nokia phone build quality is always top notch
I was in high school when that phone came out. I always wanted N97 but couldn’t afford one. Now I have a Samsung s23 ultra and when I got it the excitement was less than when I saw N97 for the first time in 2008 in the shop.
I bought this N97 when it was launched. Was a terrible decision, the phone was slow as hell and the touchscreen was awful. The iPhone was way better and felt better in the hand.
I had this phone it was shit lol, the touch screen was so bad and the ui was so dated… I switched to a iPhone 3gs and holy shit what a difference it was.
