3 Features the iPhone 13 Didn’t Add!

Every iPhone I’ve owned the bat­tery degrades to about 80% after 2 years.

1) As far as prac­ti­cal rea­sons to have cam­era sen­sors with more than 12MP: Lit­er­al­ly use­less for any real world every-day use.

Even 4K video only requires approx 8MP and the remain­ing edges up to 12MP are extra space for sen­sor-shift OIS, i can’t see a sin­gle rea­sons why any­one would want a phone cam­era with more than 12MP.

Sam­sung claims that their 108 MP sen­sors take advan­tage of pix­el-bin­ning (com­bin­ing 9 pix­els togeth­er to form a larg­er pix­el) to reduse noise and help with night shots, but this does­n’t seem in any­one’s expe­ri­ence to actu­al­ly rival just hav­ing a 12MP sen­sor with 9x big­ger pixels.

For the same sen­sor size, a 12MP sen­sor should always be capa­ble of deliv­er­ing bet­ter low-light con­di­tions than a 108MP sensor.

2) Even if you did want the super high-res photos/video a 108MP sen­sor can deliv­er, there is no social-media plat­form you can actu­al­ly post this to, as Face­book and oth­er plat­forms com­press­es every­thing down to ~2MP. So the only real-world use would be cropping.

Well 1/3 of the list has been cor­rect­ed, fast charg­ing, at least any­thing above 45w, is unlike­ly. The under screen cam, it’s a mat­ter of time.

Android Brand­ed phones love these gim­micks like 100x Zoom. Fold­ables etc.. imag­ine apple made a Fold­able that would be a per­fect­ed ver­sion of a Fold­able and I would prob­a­bly try it. Apple is smart to wait until it’s the right time & not just release a cool fea­ture for games.

I per­son­al­ly use high mega pix­el a lot, so when I’m in class at the back (usu­al­ly) i turn my 64mp on to cap­ture notes on the board which would­n’t be pos­si­ble if i use 12mp

I per­son­al­ly have a phone that can charge at 70W but guess what? I nor­mal­ly charge it with a 20W charg­er.
The capa­bil­i­ties of this phone does not require me to use fast charg­ing all the time. It does how­ev­er become use­ful when I need to quick­ly get extra 30% bat­tery in 10 min­utes before I need to go out.

The only rea­son they stopped adding fea­tures like this is because Jobs is gone. Jobs knew that a few cut­ting edge fea­tures were always nec­es­sary and you could skimp on oth­ers. They don’t need a 120hz dis­play but 90hz would be enough. They don’t need 120w fast charg­ing but 40 would work. They don’t need a 100MP cam­era but bet­ter than aver­age would be better. 

Hon­est­ly Apple is doing what they did in the 90s: sell­ing what worked (back then it was the Apple II) instead of look­ing to the future and innovating.
