Microsoft just unveiled its new Surface Laptop Studio. It’s a successor to the detachable-screen surface book and features a new hinge, improved processors, and a 120Hz refresh rate display. Pricing starts at $1,599 and includes 16GB of RAM, an 11th gen Intel Core i5 processor with Iris Xe graphics, and 256GB of SSD storage.

Ahh Verge not impressed by anything not Apple.
Biased Video.
This is way better than a MacBook. I love the idea. But since I assume it will const over three grand I hope they make a redesign of the Surface Laptop.
Amazingly designed machine.
I had similar solution to the problem of bad laptop + tablet solutions like 360 degree rotation.
Would this be good for taking handwritten notes or is it to bulky ??
Hideous.
Too expensive.
IMO this laptop is top tier nice from Microsoft. 🔥 (and I’m a MacBook user 👀)
This is nothing new. I am a victim of SONY VAIO Fit13A back in 2013, which had the same hinge and flipping design. The hinge design was very fragile and at the end, it breaks, taking down the display signal, the camera, and the front-facing microphone. Nightmare at that time.
Great product design
“This is not the weird I want.” Hope Microsoft brings back the Surface Book. Appreciate the vid.
I love it
That keyboard ⌨️ diss to Mac 💻 was low man. You need talk about speeds 🙂 and Mac blow your whole work flow
I just got my Laptop Studio today. I am blown away. not only does look a lot better in person but it works really well. I don’t need the multiple positions. the 3 positions it has are all I need. but what really blows me away is the sound. the sound is the best I’ve ever heard in a laptop. and the plinth. it isn’t even noticeable in person. I don’t get why it bothers you. I don’t even notice it. and it’s lighter than I expected. I know its 3.8 lbs for the I5 that I got but it doesn’t feel it. Probably because my laptop at work which is Dell is heavier and feels heavier. so far, I am loving it.
Still looks cool. So the screen can do yoga, so what. Its easier to pick up than most laptops.
Did you actually try to use it?
Why it’s not a gaming laptop with RTX 3050 ?
sadly it doesn’t have a Numpad
I’ve been using it for quite some time now and honestly its the best computer I’ve owned. I love the versatility to a 2 in 1 laptop, but most 2 in ones feel to flimsy or come with a bad keyboard or design and a weird screen bezel. The tablet to laptops feel more like a tablet with a key board than a computer with a touchscreen. This computer feels like a top of the line computer first, comparable to a macbook, but when you bend it you get the versatility of an Ipad all in one.
The biggest downside of microsoft products is not the hardware but software. As someone who has been using Surface line-up for work for past 7 years, experience is that Windows integrate terribly with these products. Everything that could go wrong did eventually go wrong with almost every function of the device.
Too skeptical review 🥲😅 atleast Microsoft dare to innovate as always unlike Apple selling the same thing since almost a decade and people buying those costly things just to consume as a status?! 🥴
