REAL holograms are finally here! (And they look very cool)

Forget science fiction — Silicon Valley start-up Light Field Lab has created a hologram so real that I could put my hand right through it.

It was definitely challenging capturing three dimensional light objects on a 2D screen (our shooter John had a FUN time with this one!), but I have to say it was very cool to see this tech in person! Biggest question: Where do you want to see this used?
What makes the leaves move when the hologram blows air?
I was SO ready to bash this for not being a real hologram. Maybe not one, in the sense of a piece of holographic film, lit with laser, or white light, but instead, is a 3D volumetric display of light, as pixels. This is quite amazing. Thanks for sharing.
Pretty amazing — how in the heck do you project an imagine into thin air?! I really wanna know more! Thank you for sharing !
2:31 At this point my mind has wondered into a different direction.
This is how ‘they’ will deceive the World 🌍!!
Fake
What we need for this to be legitimate is a three-dimensional hologram where you can walk around it and the projection comes up from the floor or down from the ceiling.
oh boy no brains no eyesight no gain
Where to buy?
A piece of advice… let the Wookie win…
A piece of advice… let the Wookie win…
We need to see it in person to appreciate it, it’s lackluster online
Stop this silliness. Just STOP. The word “holography” and “holographic” have VERY specific meanings and definitions: it is essentially the process of creating a diffraction mesh that, when illuminated with a beam of coherent light, produces the desired interference pattern in space. Absolutely NONE of the devices marketed or hyped as “holographic” are based on this principle. And I can’t understand WHY they are using “holography” to hype them, because true holography is actually not that well suited for 3D displays, what with it being essentially monochromatic as a result of the dependence on specific wavelength.
Nobody tell her about lenticular lens displays.
Any updates on this company and tech? Its been awhile since this video 😅
So, you put your hand through it, but your hand didn’t reflect or refract any light? Explain please.
No metamaterials, or plasmonics used? No quantum entanglement? No acoustic holography? I’ll come back in a few decades…
but is it 3D tho? volumetric? there’s no mention about it and her descriptive skills could only get us so far..
That would explain Joe Biden!
Wow. I’m just imagining Times Sq…
I’d like to see holograms mixed with AI then you could send them to other galaxies at the speed of light?
So you can’t walk around it. She’s not walking around it.
Why didn’t we see the light on her hand?
I’ve seen holograms at football games. It’d not new and the gov 100 percent has this tech
Yet people will still believe that real aliens were walking through the Miami mall. Whatever technology the public has, the government is already 50 years ahead. Don’t believe everything on the news people.
Still waiting 😢
What is next more advanced than this
Thay need to adapted to this tec to phone’s
wow
Like the Miami Aliens !!!
Love the ritual room gotta keep getting that watcher technology through white and black magic…

This looks promising for real life hologram ❤.
