Is Google doing the right thing going with a larger form factor and not providing a smaller option?
i stopped watching the video where the reviewer goes — after weeks of using it the design hasn’t grown on me. Well if i am gonna spend that much money on a phone i better like looking at it
Of course the finger print scanner isn’t gonna read your finger like that. Calm down and leave your finger on the scanner a split second longer 😒
🧙♂️ ☎️ I don’t need a new phone.
Where’s Dieter’s review?
What country is it produced in?
where did u go Dan?
At least there new TCL looks is different.….I’ll go buy a TCL phone
I don’t see the utility of mmWave bands for a cell phone. Short of tethering, what could use the bandwidth provided? This, of course, is before we get to the range limitations, which would require a lot more sites for coverage. On the other hand, I could see it being used for the “last mile” to fixed location users.
I agree the phone’s too slippery. I find I have to be careful where I put it down, or I’ll find it on the floor.
Google really fixed every issue throughout the Pixel line.
Hi The Verge. Love your reviews. I bought a Pixel 6 in the UAE (Dubai). I found out that the Pixels aren’t able to go onto the 5G here. Which is surprising as both Iphone and Samsung phones are running 5G. Apparently Google hasn’t opened it for a lot of countries when I investigated this over Reddit. Wonder why they are doing that? Would love if you could bring some attention to this point in a follow up video.
Just tried the fingerprint scanner on my pixel 6 (with screen protector) and it worked like it usually does
Pixel 6 really look like a google phone to me. The Pro looks boring. It’s look like any other android phones IMO.
Currently rocking my 6 Pro and i usually get between 1 and 1.5 days on a full charge with medium use. Heavy use and it usually has to bet plugged in by the end of day, especially with 120hz active, but that is to be expected with such a good display drawing a lot of power. Glad to see the optimizations have been made to make it last quite a long time with medium use though!
One good point: it is not overprized like Apples mediocore and overhyped Iphone 12 ‑13 max/pro
I remember during the pixel 4 launch Google said “We think telephoto is a way better option“
And Honestly they were right I Use Zoom Majority of the times More Often then the ultra wide
A $799 base pro model would have been incredible, but they still have to compensate for the regulars low price. These are quite the steal, especially after the bugs have been ironed out.
It seems everyone is having a different experience. I’ve seen some reviews that praises these two phones and proclaim their excellence. Then there are some who have stated their complete disappointment in it, specifically with battery life and ui bugs. I think the issues aren’t consistent with every user. Making it harder to review the device properly. Because every review will be mixed, it makes it harder for customers to be convinced to buy.
Like Samsung phones where u can increase the memory. Are you able to increase the memory yourself of the google pixel 6 phone or not???
Why do people like to put 2 clocks on their screens?
