If you had to rate the 3 site links below, how would you rank them from 1 to 3?
I only just got glasses recently. I never thought I’d need them, but my vision started getting a bit blurry a while back and it turns out I’m nearsighted with astigmatism. It’s a very light prescription, less than ‑1.0. I’m an imposter, I can still see. 😂 The problem that I found with shopping for glasses online is that the options are fairly limited or more expensive for extended sizes. Like I have a 57 lens width, so finding frames big enough and in a style that I like isn’t the easiest. I ended up checking out Walmart, and while the optician didn’t want to give me my PD (my optometrist office would only give it out for a fee), he did say that he doesn’t like giving it out because if for whatever reason something is wrong with glasses we get somewhere else, his name is on it and he’d rather not get involved with that. So I can just go pay the $15 if I ever do want it from the optometrist. But I found some sunglasses in the Walmart vision center that fit and look good on me, and I ended up saving like $15 over what I would have paid online. So I guess I can use that extra money for my PD. 😂
I would have liked to try Zenni because the prices are much lower, but they just don’t have the frames that I’m looking for.
Buying online (as long as you have your PD measurements) works. I usually bring my glasses to an optical shop to have the frame fitted.
FREE everywhere I’ve gone.
I dont recommend this video if you are new to this — she talks too much irrelevant stuff and doesnt even explain that the PD number is simply a measurement between your eyes that you can measure with a ruler in the mirror — no dont use a printed page — it might be scaled incorrectly. Far less she doesnt explain what number you should use when entering your rx, say if you want reading glasses only.
Before placing an order from Zenni, please note that Zenni doesn’t provide any after-sales service or repairs. You will regret it if your glasses break or need repairs. Zenni will tell you to order new glasses, as they will not repair or sell spares.
I love online bettet then in store zenni optical is my go to
ZERO Factual info, all opinion and unbeleivably biased. Thanks for playing, hope you made some $ for yr shill segment.
So many people tried steering me away from buying glasses online but I never had any issues with. It went perfect. In fact, I got much nicer glasses and at a cheaper price buying them online.
Prices for eyeglasses here in the US are crazy high. A round trip ticket to Costa Rica is about 170 and that will be more than your eye exam and ost of the frames and lenses there. Dental is cheaper than some copays here. It is just finding a week or two to fly down and get it done plus there is plenty to go see when you are there.
I am going back in a couple months ad there is a steakhouse I always visit there because it has the best steaks I have ever had.
This should be titled how to order glasses online because this is the most drawn out for no reason video and I still don’t know what is a good place. Not sure her comedic style is best for information
By killing businesses locally people are actually killing thenselves .…..what goes around comes around.…..plz support locally…
All you have to do is measure your current glasses (if they already fit well) and stick to that “general” size when buying online. People are way overthinking this.
I’ve had experience with Zenni Optical and Payne Glasses, and have had a very positive experience with both. Payne Glasses is my new favorite with their standard return policy of full exchange (minus shipping) if I made a mistake or just don’t like my choice.
From what I’ve seen, most online eyeglass sites don’t seem to focus on the lens technologies. Those things seem important to me (concepts like Zeiss SmartLife) and have no access to higher end measurement tool like Zeiss I.profiler (apologies, I’m sure other brands do similar but I know a couple of the Zeiss offerings from doing some research.) I assume from your not including any of this you don’t find them relevant?
Went in store and the sales person just asked what I liked. Saw my insurance and steered me to more expensive brands. Then we sat down and they up sold me on anti glare and scratch resistant (shouldn’t that be standard? ). Any way, the person never did anything to actually help me find a pair that best fit me. They were just a sales person. Meh.. I can do this online I think.
I bought glasses from GlassesUSA and when I received them I could not read text with them and I was told because of the frames I ordered I could not return them. I’m trying to exchange them for ones that I can actually see with. I’ll keep you updated.
I’m a 72 year old man (not a dirty ol man)! You are a pretty young lady without and WITH your glasses. Good video, thank you.
Sorry none of the links worked
It’s progressive lenses that are complex to do. Different providers have different progressive lenses technologies. Hard to adjust too. Anyone saw a scientific review of Zenni progressive lenses?
Zennioptical
I don’t even think regular opticians use a PD number. It’s usually it fits or it doesn’t.

Glassesusa is garbage, I put in an order with express shipping and fast production, a week went by and they were still in production and they wouldn’t respond to my emails, ended up canceling
I don’t wear glasses thankfully. Literally just watched this because how could Bridget trying on glasses not be fun? Great video!
What are going to do when your optometrist goes out of business? Just saying.
Yeah, classes are so much cheaper online
My online ones were cheaper and better than from my eye doctor.
YOu don’t mention how important the fit part is. the 3 numbers on your old frames — that measure the eye bridge, the arm length and the width and or height of the lens.
I ordered from eyebuy direct ‑loved the glasses, but i found that i was off a couple digits on the numbers and they were huge — didn’t fit.
I’m in the process of considering trying again.
You’re so so pretty 😍
And thank you this was very helpful
Lenscrafters … $1300 (pre-insurance), $450 discount, $750 after taxes.
Gee 😠 thanks.
Guess I won’t be amassing a collection of low priced eyeglasses online anymore…
I’m disabled, I don’t walk very well — so online is the best option for me. I usally go Firmoo because it was the first I saw and I can cancel online after ordering, not all have that option without calling. I’ve gotten glasses out the door, Frame and lens for less than $30.
