Roboats are fully electric autonomous boats developed by researchers at MIT and funded by the city of Amsterdam. They can be adapted to serve many different functions, including the transport of people, waste collection and even combined to form floating infrastructure like docks and bridges.

Useless
Very cool, but pointless.
Skynet is slowly forming like Voltron.
Nah, a nice to expensive gimmick to replace (temporary) bridges. Maybe it can be used as a taxi (not revolutionary).…. try harder.
Transformers:
boatbots in disguise
Inventing a “solution”.. but there is no problem. It can be use for like Venice, but simple walking bridge is cheaper and easier to use and to maintain.

Bright future ahead
Wow.
cool but for Amsterdam you should be able to bring your bike too
other use cases could be a pop-up coffeshop, pop-up Pub, pop-up food truck, or autonomous delivery
Probably not
Call upon the LORD JESUS today!!! .…there is no hope elsewhere. Today is the day of salvation. ONLY JESUS SAVES. 1Corinthians 15 1–4 is the gospel of salvation. Put your faith and trust in Him, NOT in man.…satan is the god of this world for now.…but.…JESUS is coming. Make sure you know Him, and that He knows you!
👍
WHY?????????????????????????????????????????????
This looks a nightmare for those with limited mobility.
It must be much more expensive than building a bridge in the first place
I want one!
Seems very promising for cities with canals. Much more challenging to engineer something like this for rivers with a current. Probably impossible to use these at all in large bodies of water that have waves and tides.
this is so stupid, why not built a bridge or walk path, aah money to be given away.
That’s awesome but it’s obviously not going to work a lot of places.
What does “WTF” stand for in your program? Surely not the vulgar exclamation…
I like the fact that it’s picking up waste because that’s definitely a big issue with sea life
The future. Soleless. Ugly. Depressing.
Keep on
I like the idea but not sure I wanna sit in something that earlier was just carrying trash
Is it just me or Jesse looks like Ryan Gosling.
Super, the future of robotics 👍
❤️🥂
Talk more about more robot that are autonomous and used for cleaning and transportation.
totally support this but, wont they be expensive? and no council will say that bridge is safe for kids, also we cant have nice things cos of stupid ppl or ppl abusing it
A solution looking for a problem
How are folks gonna get around after the rowboat ride? No thanks.
No, they couldn’t.
This is more overpriced, underdeveloped cacka
naah . they steal every bike in amsterdam
This is seriously freaking fantastic ❤️
Roboat is probably the most on point product name ever
What a great idea ! Passengers and in the same time… Creating bridges… Crossing the Geneva lake in Europe (Léman lac) would be awesome as bridges or ferries for cars are forbidden…
Reinventing water transport.
Great! Building the future with fully automated and expensive boats. For the present, maybe, just maybe, can the MIT engineer expend a bit more money in a better webcam?
This is a great opportunity for others just not me so I thank you
These are spy devices.

The New World Order LOVE idiots who say “I have nothing to hide.”
Interesting topic. I’m impressed that presenter knows something about Voltron.
awesome video!!
Ahhhh yes, another robot to save the environment
Surprised this wasn’t initially tested in Venice.
Hmmm interesting
MIT Professor and not able to make a quality video stream. yah.
I can’t wait to start my privateer business
very cool, but never going to replace bridges.
I think they call it a ferry boat
