If you could get investors to give you a billion dollars, what kind of company would you start?
The investors deserve to lose their money for their stupidity, and those that invested other peoples money in this nonsense deserve to be fired! It could NEVER have succeeded, most blood tests require a blood sample FAR bigger than ‘a single drop of blood’.
The investors are major names, but major stupid!!
They are not mad because they do not want to look like they were fooled
A little due diligence goes a long way.
other than lucas and draper.…who never invested a lot on biotech…very few vc’s were fooled
that is why she went after private investors
If she had stopped before putting the Edison in Walgreens, contacted investors and told them they hit a wall and just can’t go any further. Offered to return the money, closed the company. There probably wouldn’t have been any fraud charges and she would have come out on top Maybe she would even have been able to keep some of the money. Blind stupidity to put a non working machine in Walgreens
She could have just verified first how much blood it takes to do these tests instead of creating a fantasy. How could no one at Stanford tell her straight out that what she was trying to do was impossible?
Well she stole from the rich ….who is greedy enough to get more 🤑
The next Steve Jobs. What a joke. She was more like the next Bernie Madoff.
The name of the machine Edison should have been a tipoff that, much like the real Edison, it was a huge fraud…
10 billion valuation and she couldn’t hire a personal shopper or stylist?
Yeah, I’m not mad that Betsy Devos and other rich people lost money.
She should run for Congress.
She’s a hero in my books.
Nothing to be mad about she stole from thieves 😁🤣🤣
Most of these tech entrepreneurs are sociopaths.
she’s still hot
Crime is crime, doesn’t matter if the victims are filthy rich or not. Because if crime like this is allowed, it will happen more and more and then ultimately, regular non-rich people will get hurt when stuff doesn’t work, when the jobs are lost, etc.
Scams take a certain degree of entrepreneurial spirit and instead of embracing these people we are throwing them in jails.
Those investors are not stupids, they know the investment wasn’t for some blood testing peripheral device
Investors are to blame!😊
