I wonder what the screen response time is like, lots of the recent 14” gaming laptop IPS screens are 8ms at best.
Alienware sucks and we all know it
Super slim gaming laptop = thermal issues + huge price tag
If you buy it, you are a fool
Congrats you found my comment
looks trash. IDK why people dont just buy desktop and ultrabook at this point.
Volume!!!
why would i get this over a m1 pro macbook pro 14inch
Quality control on this, as always, will be terrible.
And the keyboard still remains without secodaries lit up… add to that other limits due to size and possibly components and this thing might end up having only one or two competitors — the Asus ROG Flow X13 (the thinner and more mobile) and Razer Blade 14 (the more gamer bling oriented), but possibly the biggest challenge will come from the refreshed all AMD Asus G14s…
Price?
made by dell with proprietary cheesey spam on the drives? Nope I pass there are FAR BETTER gaming machines out there.
And the Razer blade 14 laughs at this laptop in every way. What a waste.
The laptop may be thin but it is very heavy and large (for a 14 inch laptop due to the vents at the back )
with the razer blade 14 and g14 available, most people wont even consider this
This looks amazing. Wish I was rich to buy lol
so yeah it was cold here i wanted an heater so i bought this
Dell’s Alienware need to stop. Seriously. Just stop producing garbage, yo! Straight to a landfill in 4 years!
I’m glad I got myself an x17 for Christmas. No need for an x14.
Soldered ram??
Meanwhile ASUS has ROG Flow Z13 which has the size of a Surface
It’s going to be worse than the asus g14 and cost more. Willing to bet the 6800s destroys the 3060, possibly the 6700s also.
Defo on my top 3 list for next laptop
If this had cellular it be perfect
Alien Ware has a great track record of being way too expensive.
USB‑C Power connector ❤️🔥👍
I still don’t get why everyone is making 14 inch laptops now. Are there a lot of people out there who want this specific size? I always liked 13,15, and 17 inches in a laptop. 14 is too big too be considered small.
ALIENWARE X14 Available this winter starting at $1799 👽❄️ 💻
This laptop is nice!
I mean, if you travel a lot for work, having this small device could be the answer.
It’s not the only very compact gaming laptop, but it’s a valid option!
I read negative comments about people NOT in target with this product…
What’s the point of your negative comments?!
Would you go under a video showing products for old people and comment that are useful for young people?! It wouldn’t make any sense!
Not having a RJ45 on a gaming laptop is silly. I know there are adapters for it, but it still bottles the mind that gaming brands don’t appreciate the need for it. Wish it went up to the 3070 like the Razer blade 14. Otherwise I like it, I’ve been missing the m13 for years now. A mobile data plan option would be fantastic.
chin still too big.
But it’s garbage and comes nowhere close to the G14 or Blade 14
Starting at 1799 for the 3050 version? I’m guessing the 3060 will be around 2000+? I’d rather get a razer 14 with a 3070 for that price.
Is it too much to ask for a gaming laptop that doesn’t have an obnoxious gamer aesthetic to it?
Wished they continued their ufo concept tablet..
Thanks 4 the fuze
Either this or Razer’s one
R12, X17, and now X14 I can’t wait 😁
wow you’re so impressed by a laptop with a headphone jack on the opposite side from the user.
The fact this laptop doesn’t come with a light up trackpad, multi-zone keyboard lighting and an oled touch screen already makes it feel like a downgrade from a 1060 A13R3. I’m sure the 3060 is a capable chip but it certainly feels like you’re getting less bang for your buck.
I am getting this tomorrow, wish me luck.…i am tight on budget, so only getting the base model, 12th gen i5 and RTX 3050…but i need a portable device at any cost and it has always been my wish from childhood days to own an alienware.…fingers crossed that this one lasts for years for me
Compared to all other computers in the same size Alienware x14 is the best. I took a month to read and watch everything and to compare and I’ve just got mine. Almost 10 mouths after its released it is still the best out there. That’s the only one with thuderbolt 4 and there is 2 ports! The only one with hdmi 2.1. The only 14″ one that weight under 4 pounds and no need for a big power suply who often weight more than the laptop. It is less that 2/3 pound more compare to surface pro 9 with keybord and power suply and surface have no gaming card. Who care if cant change my memory? I have DDR5 5200mhz 32gb and no need for more to work or gaming. The M.2 ssd is the fastest gen 4 on the market and you can upgrade it but 2tb is enough for me and there is also a microSD slot and usb C and A ports for dock, usb keys or external drives. The rtx 3060 is far better then the 3050ti for rog flow z13 or x13 and the screen is larger. And on benchmark the difference between that and the 3070 in other laptop of the same size is negligible. Yes some have better card but without givin enough power to use it well. Playing at 1080p AAA games with maxout is not a problem at all. Intel i7 12 th gen is way better for me than amd, for thudebolot 4 of course but for way more. Speaking of that with thuderbolt 4 you can run a EGPU with external display with a very small difference compared to the same gpu in a destop. I can charge it on all ports. It’s the best laptop ever made for travelling and the battery have a great autonomy if you dont play heavy aaa games. Wifi 6E blutooth 5.2. Also with PS Plus and Nvidia GeFOrce Now and Xbox Cloud Gaming who need a rtx 3090ti in his laptop? Welcome to 2022! Anyway i have massive tower for that. There is no other competitor with the same stuff pack in so small computer. That laptop deserved at less 9/10 and with almost the half on the price for a Razor!
I respect CNET’s review more than paid youtuber. I just bought mine yesterday.
