Dell’s new XPS 13 Plus launched today, with a starting price of $1,199. It looks similar to the previous XPS 13 on the outside — but open it up, and you’ll find a new haptic touchpad, a depressed keyboard, and a “capacitive touch function row” that is, according to Dell, totally not a touch bar. There are new processors, better speakers, and an OLED display option. We’ll find out how well this new package works when the device launches worldwide in the spring.

What do you think about Dell adding the touch bar?
How could I use the F2 and F4 functions on excel with that laptop🥺😭, I guess with the FN key?
Is this laptop good for streaming n gaming
is xps 13 plus gonna have different price point ? is this an additional line for more premium price or its just a complete name change ?
I wanted to buy the XPS13 but this… uuuuh weird keyboard without borders, not sure it’s confortable, no jack, no microsd card, why ruining it like that 🥴
it’s like they are trying as hard as possible to make the keyboard deck exactly like those nasty rubber spill proof ipad keyboards…
I can not believe that they added that capacitive function bar. It is horrible in my opinion. Also that touchpad without borders is horrible. It is so disappointing. I am also not sure if I like the fact that the keys extend all the way to the edges.
I have used a dell XPS 13 9370 for over 3 years now and I still use it every day, that is a great laptop. Dell needs to keep the function keys, improve the performance, improve the battery life, and improve the touchpad. The touchpad on the dell XPS 13 9370 is already quite good for a windows laptop but it would be nice if it was as good as on Apple laptops.
Dell made a worse macbook air
Capacitive buttons are so outdated. I don’t know why Dell brought i back.
No one can match apple’s hardware quality. With silicon chips, not with performance too.
Not saying the Touch Bar was a good idea, but this really ain’t a Touch Bar, the Touch Bar is a color display with programmable controls that can be changed. This is much, much more primitive. And it’s hilarious that Dell adds a “Touch Bar” just as Apple killed it…
If you can call this a touchbar, then that would mean lenovo was the first to implement a touchbar
i’d rather buy one of the new macbook
A laptop for devs without ESC and F.. keys
Nice job Dell 😉
capacitive function buttons above the keyboard existed waay before the touchbar. i remember my lenovo from 2010 having one. verge, please.
nothing about a 720p camera.…waste of time…
This laptop would be perfect with a NVIDIA graphic card
This honestly looks terrible. I have an XPS 13 9365 (2017 model) and I’m going to keep it forever. First they hid the home and end keys behind F11 and F12 and then this! I’m a developer and systems administrator, I need those keys!
Would you recommend the 1TB NvME or the normal 512GB SSD?
I don’t need a lot of space but need performance. Worth spending more for the 1TB?
Not a huge fan of the touch pad missing and still being magically there. They should have had a back light around were the touch pad is located. This way you know where the edge is located.
“it should in theory” isn’t that your job to test and inform us?
Or is this just a marketing YouTuber channel?
