Mer­cedes car all­ways look so great from the front yet so ugly at the heck. Only good look­ing Mer­cedes rn. is the GT.

While I am more than hap­py to see anoth­er EV that can have range up to 1,000 km per charge, NIO’s ET7 with the ultra range of 1,000 km per charge will be out at end of 2022. Even the small­er ET5 will have the range of 1,000 km per charge. Unless Benz is hav­ing at least 5% longer than 1,000 km, that is not even a break­through. To cheer for this new Benz with 1,000 km per charge also means a big­ger cel­e­bra­tion for NIO’s first two EVs with 1,000 km per charge at much low­er prices, but with more inte­ri­or room. So, while I am very hap­py to see Benz can also do it, I wish Benz to do it with­out the sac­ri­fice of inte­ri­or room and price for the mass. Else, it is a niche product.

Also, no mat­ter how fast the exist­ing charg­ing tech­nol­o­gy allows one to charge his/her EV’s bat­tery, you can’t be any faster than the speed of bat­tery swap. NIO’s bat­tery swap sta­tions let you have 100% ful­ly charged bat­ter­ies in 3.5 min­utes. Can the fast charg­ing tech­nol­o­gy of this Benz match it ? Nowhere close. 

At least, Benz can claim that its range can beat the Tes­la’s range. Hope­ful­ly, it won’t be over $300,000 USD while it only costs about $100,000 for the NIO’s ET7 top trim with the same 1,000 km per charge range.

Is this going to be anoth­er $100,000 car that only a few can afford?

In the­o­ry the car would have an unlim­it­ed range in places that rarely rains such as Dubai

So why did tes­la use its own tes­la plug in amer­i­ca 🇺🇸 and not allow oth­er EV s to use his charg­ing hubs. Euro tes­las where built right and have CCS . Dam­age is already done rea­son every­one hates tes­la. Euros and amer­i­can EV dri­vers all hate tes­las and will nev­er buy one. We would way rather have the Porsche EV that is qual­i­ty and fast any day over a ugly tes­la that looks like a wannabe mer­cedes fast but NO qual­i­ty
