Oh my god. I saw a giant mechan­i­cal bird shaped UFO in the night about 13 years ago. I have nev­er heard this sto­ry before 😮
I saw 3 or 4 big blade like feath­er like parts of the wings that sep­a­rat­ed from a sol­id piece and then fanned apart. It was a dark black and had a spot­light that shined down and then turned off the light as soon as I saw it.
It was silent and glid­ed slow and grace­ful. It was about the size of a house or big­ger and just above the trees.
