Farewell, Galaxy Note. You changed phones forever

Samsung’s original pocket-busting phone is no more. The new Galaxy S22 Ultra merges the Note’s best features with Samsung Galaxy S line. While Samsung hasn’t officially declared the Note line dead, we wanted to celebrate its eight-year run. The Galaxy Note with its S Pen stylus and big screen was the perfect antithesis to Apple and its iPhone. You will be missed.

Note can rest.. but the pen must stay & pen with storage.
The note was my first android, I just got the note 20 ultra once they announced the S22.
Galaxy Note 4 was my entry. That’s where my Note love affair started. It’s escalated to the S7 Plus tablet that’s soon to transition into the Tab S8 Ultra. Things are getting out of control.
Looks like the Note didn’t really die. The S Ultra died and the Note just took over the S Ultra identity.
You can’t replace the note with something doesn’t support SD card
Farewell? The S22 Ultra is a complete Note phone, just minus the name. What on earth are you talking about “farewell?”
My family has owned note 3 , note 9, note 10 lite and several galaxy s . I actually think keeping the name galaxy s22 ultra for the note is a smart thing actually. This way they can also bring s pen to lower cost phones like a series , which i am hoping for
I started with the Galaxy Note 4 in 2014 because it had the largest screen available and Verizon had a deal with the NFL to watch games. I got spoiled by the screen size and S‑pen. I upgraded to Note 8, then Note 10 and finally Note20 Ultra 5G. I just pre-ordered the Galaxy S22 Ultra — it seems like that will be the next generation of the Note phone. There’s an S‑pen along with a pen slot. I still have my Galaxy Note 4.
I love that idea to have the best camera and the S‑pen in one device.
Me iPhone 3G -> Galaxy Note 4 -> S7+ -> S8+ -> S10+ -> Z Fold 3 512 gb ( Trading in ) -> S22 Ultra 1 TB Red and Tab S8 Ultra 512 gb bundle.
I need the battery life I think the Z Fold series will be amazing in several generations lacking battery I get 4 or less hours of it, S Pen holder, cameras at work will edit later
They stopped selling the 1tb model for the ultra. Samsung told me they won’t be restocking it again, and it was a kinda of special addition? So it’s not really a note replacement without the SD card slot 😕
Be patient, folks. Don’t rush out and buy the S22 Ultra on impulse alone. It’s a trick. It’s just the Note21 Ultra that was never released — a FULL YEAR OLD DEVICE! You’ll feel mighty stupid next year when the “real S22” (as the S23) will be released with a 200MP camera.
So the pen thing never worked eh?
The Note line was introduced in 2011 not 2012 🤦♂️
I at 1st had my note 4.….n ever since I bought the note 10plus aurora glow colour.….I wouldn’t move to the s22 ultra.…I will stick to my note 10plus regardless of the new s22ultra.….
Well done! I still have my Note8 that I use as a secondary device.
If they put everything the Note 20 ultra can do and more, I’m down that.
Transfer tothe R.I.P.D. (Rest In Peace Department)
When the Note came out it was ridiculously large when phones were 3.5 inchs like the iPhone 4s. Now a small phone looks ridiculously and a 6–7 inch screen looks like the norm.
I love what u did with the note 7, 😂
The Note Debuted in 2011, not 2012.
Samsung should have just called it S22 Note. Ultra name is ridiculously just like the Max name. It’s like the people that named comic book super heroes took over. I think S22, S22+, S22 Note should be the January lineup and August should be Foldables.
Im write this comment using note FE
It’s really hard to take people who clearly own iPhones serious when they’re reviewing any kind of Android phone LOL
I’ve had the Note 4 and currently own a Note 20 Ultra. Easily two of the best phones I’ve ever had. The Note 20 Ultra still gives me some wow moments.
I didnt own the first one and the last one… haha but all them else… kinda funny…
Absolutely loved the humor!
Samsung should rebrand the Z Fold into the Note and Z Flip into just Z
i had the 1, 3, 4, 9 and 20 ultra (current phone)
Note is not dead, only change his name.
I’m currently using a Note 9. I think they should add an imbedded S pen in the fold series. They could even just flat out call it the Note 22 for all I care. I mean it folds like a notebook.
What’s the song/piece that was playing while the phones were burried?
I am still watching this video on my galaxy note 3
R.I.P Samsung Galaxy Note 2011 2013 😭😢😞
I can’t believe it & I simply didn’t want to believe that me just switching to a Note 10 last year but then it would be the last Note series for me 😕😖

Is there any way you can post the link to that review of the original Galaxy Note?
I started with the Note 4 then moved onto the Note 8 and had the Note 9 as a backup unit. To be honest I think that the Ultra line never had been. That the Note should still live on
well my story for the note is my mom back then she has the note 2 and it was beautiful then she upgrade to note 5 now she is using note 10 and im using a note 8 which is still a great phone
Loved the Note 7, was the best Note version for me (had no issues with heat (Samsung took phone in recall)). Note 10+ and 20 Ultra were good (still have them). Got the S22 Ultra, it is Note-like but it IS NOT a Note. Miss SD Card and other purely Note features but it decent. Can’t watch video with audio in-sync. I REALLY MISS THE NOTE LINE!!!
Still 6 months after this video, I own my Note 9 and I don’t plan on a new phone for another 2 years at least.
The original Note’s 5.3″ display is still enormous even comparing to the newer phones because of it’s tablet 16:10 aspect ratio. It’s much wider than the iPhone mini’s 5.4″ display which you comparing it to and has 15% more screen real estate area even though it’s diagonal is technically smaller. The original Galaxy Note screen width is about the same as the newest 6.8″ S22U though the latter is much higher.
You mentioned, the 7.6″ Z Fold 3. Just compare that screen to a ‘slightly’ smaller 6.8″ S22U. The difference is huge because of the aspect ratio even though it’s just 0.8″ bigger on paper.
Watching from Note 20 Ultra
Im gonna buy the note 1
I still use my Note 1 to this day.
The note is alive an well. The s23 ultra is the note. I love mine. Only the name was laid to rest
My first flagship phone was a Galaxy Note back in 2012. While I’ve gone with Apple to their iPhones now, I still have fond memories of Samsung and the world of Android and the Galaxy of Samsung 🙂
video cover is impressive
The Galaxy Note non-Ultra and how gimped it was compared to the S20, and the fact that the Exynos Note 20 got nothing despite the US version getting the Snapdragon 865+, are most likely both the nail in the coffin for the Galaxy Note series. At the time, the S20 Ultra had the superior cameras, and the Note 20 Ultra had the S‑Pen and sharp corners, so Samsung decided to repurpose the Note 20 Ultra to replace the S20/21 Ultra, therefore making the Note 22 Ultra the S22 Ultra and so on.
