Doesn’t it seem like they learned the mummification art from someone? It’s not something you would just think up.
If there is an afterlife it means there is a beforelife. Can you know who you were before? Impossible. So sorry, you only live once. Death will leave you with bones and skeleton. That’s all.
I have on spoil mymmiyes
I would have loved to take a tour of afterlife with an ancient Egyptian priest.
Nope they removed the organs because a higher power told them to do. They were crossing over and having spirits from the other side informing them. The old testament isreal and moses thats real.
think of the book of the dead as more metaphorical than literal, and it will all make sense from there.
Mudaf*ckaz always f*ckiN with sh*t.….smh
The amulets protected the body in the afterlife, but they didn’t protect the deceased from archaeologists and modern civilization.
OK interesting fact:- understand the later kingdom scribes could not fully read their own early scripts simply because of changes in individual characters maybe a milk jug shape changed over 3000 years and then later scribes might read that cows give much beer! Wouldn’t that be fun, now usually the implications were minor but here’s one that is quite significant:-
When dead the first step was Thoth using a large balamce, would weigh your heart against your soul, to check if you had led a righteous life, a heavy heart would tip the balances to one side and waiting there was the devourer of hearts!, a pig/hippo/crocodile beast that ate anyn non righteous hearts, but one spell you could pay for was a potion that would magically protect you from this beast!, phew, sign me up on that one, but where did this idea come from?, well reading the early scripts they stated that upon embalming your less than perfect loved one (that must include every one of us!!), if you were to soak the wrappings in this potion then it was an amulet that would save you from this first trial!
because they failed to translate the texts fully reading monster for weevil! , what the early people were saying is it was a good insecticide that protected the body from WEEVILS and by doing so saved the body from later attack from these pest, but interpreting incorrectly weevil for monster they ended up creating a whole myth, to explain why they did so, plus most importantly the priests could now charge the patron money to include it as a spell in the book of the dead.
In fact today we have a better understanding of the early scripts than the later kingdom had, mainly we have a better level of literacy, and education is far wider available, for example using the internet and copies of book of the dead, I taught myself ancient Egyptian hyroglyphics and basic cuneiform/Sumerian, back then only the elite could proficiently read and write the common language.
Negative. The Hebrew Bible was around before the Egyptian Gods decided to go against the one true God YHWH. YHWH’s word as been here since creation and there are texts that prove this.
They worshiped Demons but the Demons, could not, give them the knowledge they needed .
Once you use your brain to create something that is against nature…you will perish.
It’s not said anywhere but I have an idea about why the brain was removed. I think it might have been used like I have when preserving a hide. Brain tanning. It seals and protects the hide. It’s like a paste when processed. Sticky even. You have to mash it and cook it a bit. There’s enough brain in every living thing to cover and seal. I think it was perhaps used in the process. Maybe directly on skin or even on the bandages..
Hawass destroyed this docu.. all for personal gains
Well, organs were not stored in those jars. Just animal fat with herbs and other aromatic stuff… Check facts first
Tamahu are not Egyptian. The Egyptian are African.
The name ‘Ham’ means ‘black,’ or ‘burnt. ’ Thus, Ham was black. The Bible, in the Old Testament, repeatedly refers to Egypt as the ‘Land of Ham’ (i.e., Psalms 105:23, 27; 106:22). The ancient Egyptians in their writings used their word for ‘black’ to describe themselves. Ab-Ra-Ham is our father Amen-Ra, the Sun God that kissed us and burnt our skin so that our skin may absorb the life of the Sun without the rays harming our skin. These people you are showing ard Hyksos and Tamahu they are not Egyptians.
I love his accent
🎶Of Egyptian Kings we know oh so many things,
Cause the archaeologists have dug their tombs.
Now we’re here to show, how to treat a dead pharaoh,
Make a mummy that can decorate your room.
First, your dead king’s lain on a table where his brain,
Is pull out with a wire through his nose!
Then his guts & lungs, stomach, liver must be bunged,
In four jars so they do not decompose.
Pour out salt to dry on the body, let it lie,
There for forty days until it mummifies.
In the bandage wrap up the body leave a gap!
For the mouth & pop in artificial eyes.
In the coffin cold lay out prayers in little scrolls,
That will guard him on his journey far ahead.
Pack his tomb with wealth, Which he’ll need for his health,
If he makes it to the country of the dead.
Now you’ve done your job, there are villains who will rob,
So our mummy & it’s coffin we defend.
Build a pyramid high, so it points up to the sky!
Place your dead king deep inside & that’s the end.🎶
