Sony’s 2022 TV Lineup: OLED, QD-OLED, 8K and Mini-LED, Oh My!

Got my 75 inch c1. I am very hap­py with the qual­i­ty and price i got it for. Glad i can sit back and watch the tech evolve (and the prices come down) for the next cou­ple of years, with­out feel­ing pressured.

My Sony A80J is so good I am not even think­ing of upgrad­ing. The pic­ture is ref­er­ence qual­i­ty after cal­i­bra­tion. The pic­ture is sim­ply stun­ning. What I am look­ing at is either the C1 or A80K in the 42″ size for a mon­i­tor. I will buy one of them and I hon­est­ly would pre­fer the Sony. I think Sony’s XR proces­sor is bet­ter than LG’s proces­sor and has bet­ter col­or and bet­ter upscaling.

So is Sam­sung com­ing out with a qd oled TV?

Wow 12 Years ago 4k was just on the come up.. Now fast for­ward to the Present and were already talk­ing about 8k… my how time flies

Does the new Sony Z9K play You tube videos in 8K res­o­lu­tion yet ? If not can you ask Neal Manowitz of Sony why not ? Also will the exter­nal LG video decoder box that they gave to their sig­na­ture ZX cus­tomers in 2019–2020 work with Sony 8K TV’s to allow them to dis­play 8K res­o­lu­tion on their sets ? I own a Z9G and while the pic­ture qual­i­ty is great when down­scaled from 8K to 4K it would real­ly be nice to actu­al­ly see it in 7680x 4320

Wtf? Was Sony’s $30,000 or $35,000 ref­er­ence mon­i­tor OLED? I thought it was LED because it’s a 1000 nits fullscreen dis­play. Hooly sh**! How is that even pos­si­ble with­out get­ting burn in? 🤣
