Aztec Empire came to an end at the hands of Conquistador Hernan Cortes but not before Emperor Montezuma, and his people, were able to sneak their mass amounts of wealth north to seven separate locations in what is now the American Southwest. For five centuries, thousands have searched for Montezuma’s treasure and the 7 Cities of Gold. The treasure is believed to be made up of an enormous quantity of gold bars, silver, precious stones, jewelry, and other Aztec artifacts. Historians estimate the value of all of these items to be worth over $3 billion dollars.
Lost Gold of the Aztecs follows three families determined to break the 500-year-old curse of Emperor Montezuma and find the treasure. The series will intercut each family’s epic adventure as they search for the 7 Cities of Gold on three different properties in three different states – the Dillmans in Utah, the Hoaglands in Nevada, and the Villescases in New Mexico. Who will be the first to find the Aztec Gold?

Perhaps they should read some history on Cortez written not long after the conquest. Cortez’s cousin’s Cuauhtemoc who became emperor after Montezuma’s death told Cortez that he dump the treasure into lake Texcoco, which surrounded Tenochtitlan (Present day Mexico City).
Worst video ever. I hope this show gets cancelled imediately,
Knife

Spain needs to returned all our gold and silver, if they refused conquered their land. See how they like it
6:09 Rick knows a few
What does this guy know about the Aztecs
The fat girl in the hat is looking for donut
Well i don’t know about that but i will keep tuning in to see where this goes.… … .…
Salado pottery /archaic obsidian point
I like the fact that they assumed right away that there’s a tunnel. Ever heard of groundwater?
Why are you looking for gold can you answer how the Incas Aztecs Mayans Incas died after Spaniards came brought their diseases into a clean environment. There’s no gold it’s just bad TV this is a disappointment and Discovery channel. Let’s see if the Mexican cartel let these self proclaim explorers pull gold out of Mexico what would be the great outcome of that
Lol those artifacts could be Apache
The GOLD has been found in Bolivia in 2018 200 feet underwater within a flatbed Mountain. To this day they are still trying to Recover it , They have the Gold bars and Coins on Film from Underwater Footage, The excavations are taking Place at the Moment to Drain the Water by Drilling through the side of the Mountain so that the water Drains slowly into the river below. They have also recovered a Monastery bell from the Monastery that originally Held the Gold for safekeeping before it was Moved to a New Vault within the Mountain…You Guys are wasting your Time its not in America,
Wow, a pottery shard & piece of worked obsidian found in Southern Utah. Imagine that!! Such ground breaking evidence that people had once been there..Anyone with eyes on the ground who has ever walked , hiked or lived in southern Utah could’nt miss the pottery shards or obsidian/ chert flakes & tools scattered about..After all how many generations & thousands of years have people who made such tools & implements lived in this same area, at least 2–4k years or more that pottery has been commonplace, & 14k ++ years for stone tools, I can’t help but wonder just who these lowbrow forms of revisionist history TV shows are actually created for? Old hald senile housebound geezers like myself, who actually live in the Southwest and intimately explored this beautiful landscape all my life with indigenous kin & ancestors. Gold fever TV is in it’s golden hay-day season right now, Mining for gold, looking for lost treasure, dreams of unimaginable wealth depicting greed beyond the pale. On top of that bull dozing, drillling , altering manipulating the manscape just for the sake of some fantasy TV series..To simply give the Indigenous people some respect & dignity & stopping the desecration of sacred & habitation sites along with the creation of such story lines & false narratives…Is this asking too much? To enlighten the dumbed down populace could be accomplished in so many more valuable ways.
I’m new to this series, where are they and why are they looking there for the Aztec treasure ?
Alot of speculation . You need more proof besides guess work
Water entering caverns usually are connected one to another. Fed by ground water here. Aztec’s used the blue dye believed to have been carried from Georgia State to South America.
first thing i thought where’s the metal detector/detecting equipment?
Lol what a joke
Lame
The Aztec never went that far north, the farthest north they ventured was present day San Luis Potosi México, they were very brave but would have had to pass through Chichimeca territory and fight them before ever reaching the Rio Grande, sorry but those aren’t Aztec artifacts.
Your pottery is Anasazi, not Aztec, and the obsidian, from the color and sheen, appears to be from the area of the Milford power plant. A Humboldt point of local origin. If it were Aztec it would be green and bladelike. That said, I hope you find the gold!
This belongs to mexico history
I wonder if anyone mentioned sonar from the pond to find where the cave starts at the cliff
My comments aren’t in comment. Uhg
Ever heard of water aquifer
Need a under water detector.
I know somebody who found a paddle in Nevada. It didn’t have obsidian on it. It was 2.5–3 feet long and made out of very hard wood.
Your pottery shard needs more testing. The Aztecs could’ve been shooting skeet there as well. Just saying 🤷🏻♂️🥴
LOL
I live in southern Utah near Kanab and I know dozens of places you can find pottery. The Kanab area was thriving with Natives hundreds of years ago. It’s no surprise that they found theses items.
Duh.
This show could be so good but you add the stupid acting
I’m smelling the intolerable odor of The treasure of oak Island debacle. Again pay me three million dollars and you can dig up my semi suburban estate. There is a lot of clay and stones. Can we please have a decent show on History channel?
Are there no new episodes ?
The city of gold was already found in the grand canyon and is protected by the US military. If you go to the location you will be arrested without question. Location and information is classified and will stay that way. My guess is it’s classified because the gold is being used to fund the industrial military complex. With the price of inflation and no trade for titanium from Russian the US military has to buy different metals and such. If only 5% of tax goes to the military how is it so advanced the math just doesn’t add up even with the black project money it’s not enough
Q: if there is a tunnel, howd they dig it? If there was water in it!
You know! I don’t care if there is no gold here to be found etc!!! THESE KIND OF SHOWS ARE SO MUCH FUN TO ME!!!! I wish I lived out there in these deserts and mountains!!!
👍🏼✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼
Why are they pretending like just because it’s obsidian, that means it’s aztec? Like no other native American tribes knew how to use obsidian?
